I believe they should and I am bumping for it. Reforging is one of the best things that happened to this game. Taking it out is just going to ruin many things.
Bump.
Edit: I am surprised that many of you are actually supporting with this change. I expected the opposite.
Edit: The main broken perks for shotguns have been nerfed. Perhaps all is well now.

No. God no. All forms of no. Remember how the HoW was dominated by two shotguns all the time (matador 64 and party crasher +1) pretty much the reason crucible sucked (aside from the crutch cannons) Yeah, I'd rather not repeat that.
-
Reforging was nice when it was only iron banner gear. Made them actually worth working for. Reforming with all weapons made the crucible incredibly limited. If you wanted to be able to compete you needed only a few select rolls, and that sucked. Crucible is about letting you use whatever guns you want because hey took level advantage off. If all your guns are the same, what's the point of keeping them? No, no reforging. That sucked.
-
God no. Reforging was the worst thing that happened to Destiny. Why? Because everyone was after that perfect roll, and they damn well got it. Hand cannons and snipers with Luck in the Chamber and Final Round, every freaking shotgun with shot package. I'm so glad they did away with it in TTK. Now you just have to accept the perks you're given or scrap the weapon. It makes those drops where you do get great perks that much more special.

1 ReplyNo. It sounded like a good idea at the time but it ended up being a bad thing. Everybody either: A) Ended up with the exact same "God tier" OP rolls on the same popular weapons. B) Blew enormous quantities of materials rerolling weapons 100 times to try and get that perfect roll. I used up all my weapon parts reforging guns in HoW and I haven't been able to keep a decent supply since. And I fell into the "just one more roll" trap over and over again. It ruined the feeling of finding a weapon with a good roll in the wild and rendered any version of a gun without the absolute best perks useless. I'm glad it's gone and I can focus on other things, while once again appreciating when I get something with a good roll on it.

2 RepliesNot re lolling guns, but rerolling class items and artifacts would be cool. Sometimes I want to get full int and sometimes int + disp, ect...
-
1 ReplyRemember when everyone ran shotpackage/range finder shotguns with knee pads? Want to face that again in TTK?
-
Yes, with a limit per weapon so you actually have to get a random combination
-
it takes the grind out of the game. waiting for the best roll then getting it was the best feeling. don't BRING IT BACK!
-
2 RepliesReforging was irritating. There was no joy with loot. It was just with the gunsmith... I love getting something and seeing if the tools are good. I just enjoy the variety. In how, I only wanted a few guns with the right perks.
-
1 ReplyNo, just Iron banner weapon and gear only..
-
Hell no. Everyone and their mother had the same exact weapons and perks during House of Wolves. Reforging on every weapon just kills the variety and takes away the hunt for the perfect roll
-
2 RepliesNo keeps variety in pvp, reforging forces cookie cutter load outs.
-
No everyone will want the same rolls on a gun and it
-
Heck. No. It made loot so much more tedious and boring.
-
Gun reforging completing contradicts the point of having new weapons.
-
Nope. Everyone would run around with the same weapons all containing the exact same rolls. The crucible experience is so much better now than it was in HoW because of the variety of weapons used.
-
No. I went broke real quick. And it isn't as unique compared to getting a drop with awesome perks through luck
-
No. I hated reforging in HoW because the weapons that I had didn't feel special since anyone else could have the exact same roll.
-
3 RepliesNo. That's what made shotguns to OP
-
I hate getting a good gun but a bad roll of the perks so the gun is worthless.
-
No, I prefer the random drops.
-
See house of wolves ruined legendary engrams. No one cared if it dropped With decent perks because 50 motes later I now have a shot package rifled barrel kneepads shotgun. If I got a new one id just delete it because oh well I already have a perfect one. Now if you get a decent roll on a gun you get all excited that you got knee pads on a shotgun. Or firefly on a sniper.

Ruined pvp
-
I think it's better to have random drops it makes many guns worth trying where before we simply sought out the meta weapons then rolled them to be exactly like everyone else's.

Yes, to sate my gambling addiction.
