If that's what floats your boat, you can just do the same strikes and raids for the next 10 years and keep everything the same if you want. Some people don't like change

Lol Way to take it to a whole new level. I just want to use the MiDA in endgame. I don't see what's so bad about that.

But we are getting new gear, and in order for that to be successful we have to leave the old gear behind. For HoW I only used weapons from the vanilla game (except messenger) because they were better. They would have to keep coming out with more OP gear to keep us hunting for new weapons if they kept it that way

Ok. I am fine with legendaries being left behind. Exotics are what I have a problem with because they are all unique and they are part of game's lore. It's Bungie's fault for making these so called OP weapons. What's OP about MIDA anyways? Why nerf Gjallarhorn and Icebreaker and buff Necrochasm and Hardlight but turn around and make them nonviable in endgame when the new DLC comes out? That doesn't make any sense. Bungie is making missteps and now we the players get the short end of the stick
