Deej is a great community manager. He does his job correctly. Bdobbinsftw is annoying and complains about everything. Don't buy this don't buy that. Can't stand him.

Really? His valid points are hard for your walnut-sized brain to understand? His videos talk about holding developers accountable. He, just like myself, have no problem spending lots of money on a game that is worth it. However, don't advertise to me a full pizza and then only deliver half of a pizza. Then on top of that try and sell me the other half as DLC. Actually listen to his points and if you feel differently then let's hear your side of the argument? If you want to be taken seriously then come up with a coherent response that disproves the points he makes.

All his videos are about not buying a game for "X" reason. He is a massive complainer and doesn't understand marketing or business. He talks about the same thing in all his videos just change the name of the game. I'm not watching another one of his crappy videos. I bet it had something do with " the game is better for year 2 players"," Bungie changed and improved the game for the better showing that they did cut content!", " the new quest systems was cut in the first place and just re-added to make money", " I was right all along bungie and activison suck because they are making money" Not to mention you have played Destiny for 61 days, I'm sure you've gotten a full pizza worth of content. If the game was lacking content, you would have tapped out months ago. Lastly, how about you start a business with a 10 year plan. During that 10 years you sell everything for free and don't take a dime of donation money. While your at it, you only create high end, top of the line items. Also your ledgers have to be in the positives. How fast do you fail?

First off, bringing stats into this conversation is ignorant especially when you decide to hide yours. I primarily play PvP because it is the only content that actually has some sort of replayability. Everything else is just the same shit over and over. Not to mention Destiny hasn't had any competitors over this last year so of course I am going to play it. No FPS has come out that is half as good as Destiny. Just because it's FPS elements are top notch does not mean the game as a whole is good. Bungie straight up lied about the "rich cinematic storytelling" and how social this game was going to be. Not to mention advertising DLC areas before the game was even released. That was blatant false advertising because nowhere did they state that these areas were going to be DLC. These are not opinions they are facts. Your entire argument is based off of your opinion. So that's great and all but until you provide some actual facts no one is going to take you seriously. It was a slap in the face that they felt ok releasing vanilla destiny with as little content as they did. They put in all of these stupid systems that were meant to slow down people's progression. Of course people are going to have massive amounts of playtime because Bungie made it that way. It is fairly obvious that your life motto is "Ignorance is bliss". Now, this whole business-making money argument is a horrible arguemnt. You make it sound as if people like Batman and I don't want to spend any money. This couldn't be farther from the truth. We have no issue spending money on games that are worth it. Had Bungie released all of the changes from TTK on day one then people would've been extremely happy. 3 raids, around 10-12 strikes, 50 exotics, quest lines and everything else they are implementing would've been worth the $90 I spent. Bungie had been working on this game for 7 years, there is no reason they couldn't have come up with this much content in that time. As gamers we need to hold developers accountable or else they are all going to fall into this type of cheap business tactics. Look at Witcher 3, that game is amazing and had way less of a budget then Destiny and far less people working on it. You are telling me Bungie, who is an experienced developer, couldn't make half of the game that Witcher is? They already had the groundwork from Halo so it isn't like they were starting off fresh. Continue to not hold Bungie accountable and watch as they continue too try and squeeze more and more money out of its customers.

Edited by UnleashedArcher: 8/21/2015 5:32:57 PMOK champ, whatever you say...But..... Vanilla Destiny laid the foundation for the future titles and gave the game a great stepping stone to start the series. Game need a foundation to grow. Bungie has never released a game of this scale and complexity before ( Complexity as in weapon stats, armor, RNG, Bosses, vendors, Loot, ETC). Halo was a relatively simplistic game in regards to story and play ( if you say halo was complex then i feel sorry for you). With Destiny they introduced a lot of new things that they weren't 100% confident on how it was going to go, mainly the RNG system. Since then Bungie has continued to fix and grow the game in a positive direction. They took the player feedback and worked to either accommodate it or find a middle ground. Sure some content is going to be left behind and some weapon will forever be in our memories, but that's the evolution of a MMO ( even though destiny is not 100% MMO it still shares similarities and keystones.) Destiny could have easily evolved into a Mirco-transaction mega-house. Would that have been a better route for the game? Maybe who knows. Frankly i don't care if Bungie keeps trying to squeeze money out of me, it's my option as a consumer to either pay up or move on to something else. It's up to me to see the value in what i want to play. Whether or not there was cut content, doesn't phase me. Not to mention Vanilla Destiny had more content that other games that came out at the same time. I saw the original value in Destiny and i made the investment to play the game and i feel my investment was well put. I've gotten plenty of enjoyment from Destiny and they have created a good game. After seeing all the changes coming to Destiny with TTK, i can see that the game is evolving in a positive direction. At the start of the content release i thought 40$ was too steep, trying to really "squeeze" the consumer, but after seeing what im going to get out of it 40$ seems fair. Comparing Destiny to the Witcher is apples and oranges. They are two completely different genres of gaming. CD Projekt Red knows how to make and open world adventure, and they succeeded at that.. Destiny knows how to make an FPS, and they succeeded at that. Now what if CD Projekt Red decided to make an FPS? It easy to analyze each game in a vacuum, but they are actually two different styles of games. Destiny IMO is a quality shooter and has a rich lore that was hidden in the grimoire which most people overlooked. If the grimoire element was put in game to inspect, or cards were visible during load screens to read, the game would have benefited. You can keep analyzing everything Bungie does wrong, and how they are slapping you personally in the face with whatever you decide to be offensive this week, But Bungie has done a lot of good over the past year, they have had some missteps but they have learned from there mistakes. Now we wait to see how they are going to execute TTK. If you truly want to hold a developed accountable, don't buy there product. Once the cash stops coming in, that'll hurts them more than a youtube video or thread post.

I agree Bungie is making improvements but some of the systems should've never been in the game. After some sort of testing they should've realized that many of their systems made no sense. For example, farming for mats was extremely tedious and was very unrewarding, FR snipers in the crucible, fusion rifles being OP, Atheon and Templar being pushed off of the map, no social interaction between players even though this game was marketed as being social, no grimoire in game so people have no idea the story behind everything, not to mention the lack of basic storytelling elements, limiting our marks in order to artificially increase play time and the various other issues that have plagued this game. Bungie should've at least been honest about the route this game is going to take. Had Bungie said this game is going to be a process then people would have no leg to stand on when it comes to complaining. Rather then hyping it up to be this amazing game, they should've been honest about how they are still learning. I would be fine if they would have came out intially and said that Destiny will be a continuous work in progress. With that said, they advertised it as a complete game that would be well worth the money spent. I can damn near guarantee their budget focuses on hype more then actual new content. I mean in reality how much new content did we get with each expansion? You cannot count weapons because those are available to all no matter if you buy the DLC or not. The strikes and missions we get only have about 40% new content. The rest they are just using old areas. For example, The Undying Mind strike, the whole mission going into the Citadel, the VoG mission in HoW, and not to mention it looks like our new subclass quests are just going to be on previously used PvP maps. The raids are great but CE was a disappointment and PoE is in no way a replacement for a raid. The reality is that we get very little new content for our money spent. Time played=\= money well spent in this game because Bungie artificially tilts it in their favor. I understand that the Witcher and Destiny are different genres in terms of gameplay but yet they were advertised as the same. Bungie advertised Destiny as the Witcher but with guns and an FPS. "Cinematic storytelling" and "rich open worlds" were what was promised but never delivered. Bungie hit the nail on the head with the shooter mechanics so all that eyes should've focused on should've been the RPG elements and story telling. At this point we still have no idea who we are and what our place in the world is. I am ok giving credit where credit is due but Bungie deserves the criticism it gets. If someone makes a mistake and fixes it, is that person praised? I would assume not because they are just fixing their mistake. Bungie has yet to really do something for their community that says they are sorry and grateful that we have stuck with them through the first year. Look at how they have handled the overseas pricing. No comment because they do not care. Ya you can say that is Activisions fault but Bungie knows that that is -blam!-ed up and they should stand up for what is right. Would we forgive Hitler's generals because they were just following orders? Or do we expect them to stand up for those being screwed? I know the analogy is harsh but it is strictly a comparison. I understand the Holocaust was a lot worse then some stupid video game but stick with me here. Not holding Bungie accountable for their actions is only going to hurt Destiny in the long run. Destiny will go down as the biggest cash cow in the history of gaming but I will be surprised if it lasts 10 years.

All hail king dobshit!
-
Dude. Get off Dobbins' dick. For real.
-
Well looks like the 12 year olds have come out to play. Resorting to the very original "Get off his dick!" comment. Do you have anything constructive to say or do you feel like further proving the notion that you are an idiot?
-
I'm just laughing at all your posts about him. Are you his girlfriend?
-
Did he -blam!- your mom? You seem personally upset that people disagree with hating him
-
What? All I said to this guy was to get off his dick. Dude has like a dozen posts with paragraphs of stuff praising him. It's weird.
-
I think it is his Mom

In all seriousness though. Generally, IM the guy that hates whiners, it's some of the most annoying shit in the world for me. That being said, I really do enjoy BDobbins, I agree with a lot of what the guy says. Recently what pissed a lot of people off was him making a video apparently telling people how to spend their money, and he wasn't doing that at all, he was just saying if you spend $20 on shaders, or you bought the Collector's Edition beforehand and bought a game and DLC you already owned, everyone that isn't a hardcore Destiny player IS going to make fun of you, and even some hardcore players. People were pissed at Luke Smith for mocking them, but honestly, you're legitimately throwing money at the screen for some dance moves. I think it all comes down to how your brain is wired, some people will interpret his videos differently than others, I can definitely see why people don't like him. That "you hate Halo and want it to die" title was a little over the top, but if you watch the video it's just clickbait
