You deserve to be left behind with your Thorn and Gjallarhorn, Bungie will not balance new game mechanics around vanilla weapons and I agree with their decision. This game deserves to evolve and expand, but with the former taking priority. I would find absolutely no enjoyment in facing more Thorn scrubs dominating year 2 crucible, nor raids and strikes becoming easy mode because of a single over powered rocket. Go back to playing Pokemon if you want a game that favors old content over new.
