have you ever played a MMO? old gear is always left behind in favor of the new xpac's gear. raid purples get replaced with greens and blues off the first quest or random mob. it's not a limitation on play style, it's progression. weaker older weapons are obsolete in favor of new more powerful weapons and gear. some you may like, some you may not, either way progression works in that kind of way. would you prefer CoD style and repurchase the exact same game every year and rest everything you did previously?
