Best exotic and Legendary weapons become obsolete in year 2, this Dark Below trick gets OLD.

Nerfing weapons fine, not be able to ascend year one legendaries hard for myselve to swallow but ok.
But now i can't take my favorite Exotics to Year 2 because they will always stay 365, to be honest i really dont like that.
Sure i can adapt, i did everything in this game i helped out alot of randomers on the forums with the so called end game content in Destiny. Because i like it when people are happy when they get that one drop they really wanted. I played months and months to get all my exotics, i practiced with them, i helped so many people to get them aswell and now it stops.... Yeah i understand i can keep using them for year 1 content, but i didn't do so much for getting all of them, just to see them become obsolete after September 15th. My Exotics are my trophies and the weapon pool of this game is way to small, not making year 2 versions out of all of them.
Are you afraid? Are you never done forcing your players? You change the entire game and maybe year 1 feels as a complete failure to you, but because i tried to look further then the game you delivered to us, playing with my friends, i did found a way to have alot of fun.
I started Destiny on the release date, it was and it still really hard for me to keep my pre destiny clan together on this game even do everyone likes the foundation of it. Its mainly because of the lack of everything in year one, the price for TTK, for year one players and the horrible clan system. But for me this is enough, there will always be people, that call this a MMO, that i should leave and do that with out saying goodbye. That this is all fine and i shouldn't cry infront of my computer what ever.
I need to see what is going the HAPPEN now, because i think you crossed a line you shouldn't have crossed.
So smart to talk about a GJALLY And ICE BREAKER Nerf and everyone ofcourse thougth you could bring them to year 2 only not that powerfull. Then you show your stream and hope you win everyone over and let the preoders begin. And then you show this weekly update for clarification and hope this will just blow over!!! I can tell you now it will not !!!!!

I would like to point out players will naturally migrate to the best gear in the game. (Hint: stop putting out bad gear. I'm looking at you ATS/8 ARACHNID, Dreg's Promise, Dragon's Breath. Not trying to offend anyone who likes the gear I called out.) I feel that most folks are worried the TTK will have poor gear. Let's be honest the gear from HOW was not that great, hence the reason so many folk went back to their tried & true ones. At the end of the day it's all about the players ability to choose (we like this). When you take that away it is natural people will speak out. Lastly, I'm disappointed there are so many personal attacks within the community. I hope this can improve so we can be productive not destructive for the better of the game we obviously have a passion for."

Your feedback is clear:The time you have invested in your stuff should be respected.” - Deej How come bungie repeatedly tells us one thing ,but then a few months later goes back on their word. I remember multiple interviews and more where Deej and the rest of bungie team ensured the community that exotics would be carrying on. The hard earned weapons we love are respected ,and further more they understand they must ensure we can always use them. lately it feels like bungie only cares about the new kids coming to the game ,but do you really think your even making them happy? Lately some lads and I where talking about how you guys decided to take away half the exotic weapons from possibly being upgraded to compete with our new and more badass enemy. So how does this effect you and the new guys to destiny? Well for one it makes it so any of those weapons you have like necrochasm , vex mythoclast and any other gun you worked your ass off to get in a raid is now just a junker. Some of the exotics that will be fixed when ttk comes out aren't even upgradeable to max ,and the ones that are being nerfed aren't either! Does that make sense?? That means that hard light I was hoping to use again one day ( with the bright future of its patch) is still a useless gun. Also any of these exotics that aren't upgradable are useless in iron banner and trials( As millions of thorn fans scream ). Great job bungie that makes a load of sense. So then you have the Gally which is a great weapon well it's getting a nerf ,but then it's also not capable of being maxed to full level. So what was the point in that? Why can't you make infusion a bit more useful and allow people to not only absorb say old guns ( like raid guns so you can have say elemental damages or perks) and allow them to go toward not only the legendaries but exotics. If you don't know how infusion works it's just a weak gun absorbing a better guns light/power. But what if one could take the mida multi tool and absorb a maxed out scout rifle acquired (year 2 weapons) and max out your awesome exotic? At least can't you do that for us bungie? Today I have actually thought about getting back my 40dollars and applying that money toward a game that respects my progress and doesn't take a massive poop on me every time it makes a dlc. If anyone comments and hasn't fully read my post or hasn't watched and researched the whole dlc and what is coming to it please don't comment about something like "you know they are adding infusion to some legendaries" cause I know /-: I know a few of you will say "well they can't carry an old gun around for 8 years cause that would be useless" just wait in 8 years when the being the Effin thing back for some dlc bull crap and you feel like a tard cause they just gave you a gun you had years ago. The point of games like this are to progress with guns like exotics cause guess what exotics are the top notch of the weapons the best of the best and they should ALWAYS stay that way!!! #saveoirexotics and stop making weapon skins such a big deal! Jk I will say though be active on this sight and make yourself and the community heard by spreading the word on here and more. This and many things are important to us let's make it happen!!

Remember when you told us that our Exotics are Trophies and they will travel with us for the span of our Guardians? DO you? Well I do, and now that some of our precious Exotics that we spent 1000's of hours trying to obtain will just sit in our Vault. WOW that is a excellent way to use up our new vault space. What a lie and a complete waist of time. I can deal with the NERF and no Y1 legendaries but our Exotics, REALLY your going to do this to your "VIPS"? I seriously think you need to sit down with the team and reconsider this RASH and STUPID decision you are about to make. Betraying your Players has nothing but negative consequences.

2 RepliesThe fact that people are stupid enough to continue to play this game sickens me. The fact that people preorder games in an age where everything is digital is saddening. At the end of the day, WE HAD THE POWER TO SAY NO. But people don't. There is no hope for this game, and if you think other developers won't follow suite you are sadly mistaken.

You know, selling the GJally right before TTK comes out and not allowing it to extend to year 2 and your nerfing it....I call that a slap in the face. I know this is nothing but a game, it's a nice break from the real world and your a for profit company trying to keep things fresh. However this is just a low blow and I find it to be very condescending.

Xur selling gally was the ultimate troll job by bunige. Lol, I've never seen a game do anything like it. Right before they announce gally is getting left behind they let xur sell it. Then a week later it's "oh guess what gally is gonna stay at year 1 levels". Damn how underhanded can you be.

They sold it so 18 million people would log on and buy it so they could send a text to Activision and say how many people were playing, how many strange coins were spent....along with the 5 million extra hours all the people that bought three of them are spending leveling them all up.

5 RepliesAnd how about that "new" way to upgrade an old year one damage exotic to the new year two damage tier ......if it's available to do ... It's the same upgrade path that was hated and ridiculed from The Dark Below .....only with a new paint job .... Everyone remember in The Dark Below if we wanted a new higher tier exotic we had to go to a special kiosk at the tower (Xur) and have acquired the old version of that exotic and then pay a large sum of currency to get that new version that was unleveled ...... Sound familiar to anyone. Sure sounds a lot like that new exotic blueprint kiosk at the tower. And Bungie apologized for that Dark below mess and said player time and investment was important...... And remember the 1st few weeks when players were running the VoG during dark below and getting Old 300 max attack exotics dropping and Bungie apologized and said it was a bug and they fixed it. Well today Mr. Noseworthy from Bungie said for all you collectors out there the old content will still drop the older exotics for you to get. Great. So the new ones will not drop there in the vault. Déjà vu. Here we go again. !!!
