In very early Destiny, we had four character classes we were trying to design around," says senior designer Sage Merrill. "But that fourth one just never fit so we cut down to three.
...when Bungie first started working on the new Warlock ability, they considered turning the class into a kind of necromancer who could resurrect fallen enemies as minions, and then send them after their foes.
Bungie eventually settled on the Stormcaller's ability to fire chain lightning, but the team hopes to return to the necromancer idea at some point.

4 RepliesEdited by Wells: 8/20/2015 6:08:08 PMThought it was telling that even bungie found fist of havoc to be weak in comparison to other sub class supers. My biggest concern is how much difficulty they had with the hunter subclass. As a hunter main, I hope they nailed it. Edit. Also if they gave each class a darkness-esque sub class in subsequent dlcs, the necromancer would be a perfect fit.
