So, I am not sure if it was by accident, or intentional. But DeeJ might have let slip the launch time of TTK.
Right at the start of last nights stream, he made a comment:
So, you took the 15th off, and at High Noon you and two friends......
So essentially, that means that TTK will launch at the same time as HOW.
Which is kind of another Middle Finger to the international community, as with everything else lately (Pricing, Red Bull etc)
Did anybody else pick this up?
Edit: So Countdown timers says differently. Let's hope it is true.

And the reset happens at 3 am for me. Why should I care if someone else has to be up at the time I do for resets while I get a decent start time?
-
4 RepliesLol I wonder if deej will take the day off work to play destiny??
-
3 RepliesIts not an F U the game company and majority of players are in USA so of course they're gonna benefit our timezones
-
1 ReplyIn the PS store on the preorder page this is what it says..... "Play on 09-15-2015, Midnight Eastern Time. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE EXCEPT WHERE REQUIRED BY LAW." So for me that equates to 9pm on the 14th....
-
1 ReplyFuuuuuuuuck I took Tuesday and Wednesday off so I could get up early and play. I don't want to wait until noon
-
1 ReplyHow can they possibly pick a time that will work internationally? They can't. Stagger release? Nope, cause then there will be threads like this where people are mad about spoilers. Please come up with a time that will work for everyone. I'm curious to see what it is
-
It's made by an American company.
-
Except everyone who works at Bungie is on that time line to normally be at work. Why launch in the middle of the night and pay staff over time?
-
Why don't they do what they did with dark below. Just take destiny down the day before for a bit so they can update it. Then let us get on for a while then activate all the content for TTK at reset.
-
Preorder says I can play at midnight of the 15th...
-
I really don't understand why they don't just come out and tell us the release time. It's like some big secret to them, yet they show us a ton of the actual content
-
9 RepliesYeah because lets plan all our times for other countries.. Do you know people in this country even get -blam!-ed by their times. I don't get to watch their streams because I actually have a job, and I surely didn't get redbull codes because 7/11 is not everywhere,
-
1 Reply
Which is kind of another Middle Finger to the international community
How is the launch time a middle finger to foreign players? Because Bungie is doing a more convenient time for them? You're right. -blam!- them, they should release the game at the time you want them to. It doesn't matter if they have families or other obligations outside of working at Bungie because some little piss ant is worried release time will be past his bedtime.
-
4 RepliesSo Australia gets it on the 16th instead of the 15th.... Oh well
-
3 RepliesEdited by THURMAN89: 8/20/2015 12:02:03 PMDestiny = American Game, so obviously, it's going release when it works best for Americans... seriously you 'international' people need to quit getting your panties in a wad over everything... If there's anything you should have a problem with its Midnight Releases, because of the different timezones some people get to play for hours before others, that never seemed fair to me.
-
thats mean its around 7pm in the uk, perfect timing for people coming home from work
-
Nice weather we're having today.
-
1 ReplyMiddle finger to international players? If it's noon at bungie, and it's 4 or 5 over seas, that can't be helped... Blame the sun if you need to whine about that.
-
Does it really matter if you can't play it the second it comes out? I'll be at work anyway, so it doesn't matter to me.
-
The countdown could just possibly mean that's how long until release day (I'm hoping for a midnight release though). Deej said High Noon which is probably when we get it...kind of BS. I took one day off of work..let me play it all day that one day.
-
International 😂
-
I was unaware i needed to plan my day to the hour for a video game. What have i been doing all these years....
-
High Noon is an old west-y idiom. People would meet at noon to have gun fight duels so that neither person had the sun in their eyes. He could have just been trying to draw on that kind of imagery.
-
I learned my lesson from how I got the 2 days after ttk launches off living in the uk how went live at 6pm I finish work at 5pm I took the day off Actual face palm moment
-
2 RepliesEdited by Catty_Wampus22: 8/20/2015 11:23:53 AMWhy are people so over dramatic and have a martyr syndrome these days? I don't understand why people always complain Bungie does things during THEIR NORMAL WORK HOURS? If Bungie were based in Europe I'd expect them to do these things during their normal work hours, too.
-
For some reason, i read this as "lunch time of ttk"
