Deej shouldn't be our community leader
He didn't asked the right questions, and didn't voiced the concerns that have been stated in these forums since October.In the entire stream, he just went along with what the other two puppet masters were saying. He is a NOBODY, he is not a real gamer, he doesn't voices the problems that Bungie don't want to tackle. Therefore, he shouldn't be our leader or voice. Do you know who should be?
BDobbinsFTW should be. I'm sure that guy would ask the questions that ACTUALLY matter. Like, why is the PvP rewards system broken? Why are you selling us obviously cut content for extra money? Why aren't you revamping the original story with more cutcenes or dialogue? Why don't you release updates more often? Why is the servers so laggy?
Being a Bungie fan, it makes me sad to see what this company has become. Began in a room with 4-5 people, focused on fan's satisfaction, now over a 100 but now is over money attraction.
Ok, let me set a couple of things straight.
- I'm not the guy in the video, I don't even have a Youtube channel of my own.
- I'm not new to Destiny, I've played this game in 3 different accounts, one got hacked, and I forgot the E-mail and pass for the other one. I actually had 3 lv 34s and ran Raids, Nightfalls, and ToO every week.
- I've been playing since the Beta
- I respect everyone's opinion, because I believe everybody deserves to be heard.
- If I, and others were to be banned for stating our opinions on a matter, this forum would die under it's own purpuse.
- I love the game, but I strongly believe this was advertised to be a much greater game, than what we were actually given.
- Agree or disagree, I respect and take all your thoughts, but please stop comparing me to a Down Syndrome patient, that is just plain wrong and disrespectful to all those people.
- Keep enjoying the topic, whoever it is you're enjoying it. ;)

"Community Manager" is effectively code for "scapegoat for literally everything wrong with the game". DeeJ isn't that bad. Yes, he doesn't pour his life into this game, and maybe his job would be easier if he at least had one of each class. But he's just doing his job.

BDobbins is a cool guy. He points out how The gaming industry could improve with a bit of effort from Publishers & Developers. I don't know why people are complaining about his negativity. . Like No S***, He makes videos about BullS*** within the industry. Of course they are going to be negative. :/

Deej is paid by Bungie so he CANNOT be inpartial. Expecting him to be impartial is a stretch, expecting him to be biased towards the players is just plain silly.

Go back and watch the planet destiny 12th podcast i believe, he's really a cool guy and he's trying to deliver to the community as much as he can but he has his limits and regulations too. Lol umm no.. Community manager is a Bungie employee. And as long as he or who ever collects a paycheck from Bungie, he will do, say, address, basically talk about what ever they want us to know and avoid what they don't want to talk about.

5 RepliesDBobbins or whatever he's called would be a dreadful choice. Watched about ten minutes of a YouTube video he had put up after reading his name in another thread. It was just one moan and whinge after another. There was no praise for anything Bungie had done well but constant gripes and demands. Deej just comes across as a bit of a twit but he is a Bungie employee so he isn't going to be critical if he can help it. He's just there to play a role but I would rather have him than someone who is going to get into pointless arguments with Bungie.

Please understand when you start insulting someone, or something, that you should use proper grammar. Otherwise it just loses a lot of it's value. DeeJ is a good community manager, I would really like BDobbins to be on one of the streams, but that won't happen, Activision doesn't want any negativity before a release. Updates cost a huge amount of money, and as such are not exactly a smart move to release them too often. They could come more regularly than they have recently, but it is very costly.

From what I can gather he voices his opinion to try and get people to stop buying destiny/destiny dlc's Who the hell is he to say what I can and can't do? Who the hell is he to say that his opinion counts for more, just cause it goes into a microphone and has a few people watch his video? If I want to buy something, I'll buy it, to hell with what anyone else says. If I regret it later, well blames on me, no one else. If I enjoyed myself though and had fun with my purchase. Well. What else matters? How was year 1 a beta? You go out and buy a TV a year or two down the line, another, better model come out. Does that mean your TV was a beta test? No It's called progression. At the end of this 10 year plan I'm guessing I'll still be seeing idiots like this guy claiming that year 5 was a beta or year 7 was cut content. -blam!- off, seriously, who are you to judge and dictate what people enjoy and spend their money on? Grow up and get over it.

Dude, you realize they made a contract with Activision. Therefore, Activision dictates a lot of the things they do when it comes to what they should release and when.

First and foremost he's an employee of bungie and as such will follow their policies and guidelines. They will have had meeting after meeting prior to last night's stream and decided amongst themselves what is to be revealed and what isn't. I'm those meetings I'm quite sure he put forward some topics from the forums, those topics will have been discussed and it will have been decided which can be clarified in the stream and which can't. You guys all seem to think they just turned up for the stream last night with no planning and no practice.

1 ReplyI think you have been listening to the preaching of Dobbins for too long. The aim of the stream was not to answer these questions you have included. It was an intro for the new year of Destiny. DeeJ is a great community lead/presence and adding Cosmo was a great move, even if only to widen their gaze. Stop feeding into the doubt and negativity.
