Deej shouldn't be our community leader
He didn't asked the right questions, and didn't voiced the concerns that have been stated in these forums since October.In the entire stream, he just went along with what the other two puppet masters were saying. He is a NOBODY, he is not a real gamer, he doesn't voices the problems that Bungie don't want to tackle. Therefore, he shouldn't be our leader or voice. Do you know who should be?
BDobbinsFTW should be. I'm sure that guy would ask the questions that ACTUALLY matter. Like, why is the PvP rewards system broken? Why are you selling us obviously cut content for extra money? Why aren't you revamping the original story with more cutcenes or dialogue? Why don't you release updates more often? Why is the servers so laggy?
Being a Bungie fan, it makes me sad to see what this company has become. Began in a room with 4-5 people, focused on fan's satisfaction, now over a 100 but now is over money attraction.
Ok, let me set a couple of things straight.
- I'm not the guy in the video, I don't even have a Youtube channel of my own.
- I'm not new to Destiny, I've played this game in 3 different accounts, one got hacked, and I forgot the E-mail and pass for the other one. I actually had 3 lv 34s and ran Raids, Nightfalls, and ToO every week.
- I've been playing since the Beta
- I respect everyone's opinion, because I believe everybody deserves to be heard.
- If I, and others were to be banned for stating our opinions on a matter, this forum would die under it's own purpuse.
- I love the game, but I strongly believe this was advertised to be a much greater game, than what we were actually given.
- Agree or disagree, I respect and take all your thoughts, but please stop comparing me to a Down Syndrome patient, that is just plain wrong and disrespectful to all those people.
- Keep enjoying the topic, whoever it is you're enjoying it. ;)

Bdobbins is annoying af. He always talks about how greedy Activision is and how they scammed us bla bla bla. The truth is, he doesn't account for 2 things: 1) Activision is a company. They try to turn a profit. I could make the same length video about how Mario is just recopying its ideas every game or how Turkey Hill cuts the amount of ice cream for a higher price. It is a business. 2) People enjoy the game. He says that every Y1 player should regret buying Destiny before TTK. I sure as hell don't. I have gotten more time out of this game than GTA V and Far Cry 3 and 4 combined. Hell, I probably [i]saved[/i] money buying this game rather than getting 5 games that last 2 days and I never pick up again. The guy just sucks at the game and he knows he can't stream so he just puts out videos complaining about a video game expecting it to change people's minds.

His job isn't to play or be good at the game. It's to fill us in on what's happening which he has done amazing at.

DeeJ needs to step up his game. Cozmo has only been around for like a month and has already posted here more than DeeJ this whole year. I'm not sure what he's doing behind the scenes all the time but the results are not showing. I think it's a big part of the reason this community is so angry.

Deej listens and looks at everything and takes it into account he's always watching and is open to suggestions and will always listen just give him a chance he's a good guy

To me it seems like Deej hears the community and their problems, but instead of relaying them to the dev team, he just jokes about them in the weekly updates for about 3 months and then announces that changes will be made, in another 3 months.

1 ReplyEverything you said is true, and that is exactly why Deej is great at his job. He is little more than Bungie's mouthpiece, like Varik's servator, with no will of his own. If they hired that other guy, Bungie would have a house divided against itself, and he'd be running business away by making scenes in the middle of the live streams and getting the crowd chanting "we won't buy the taken king! We won't buy the taken king!". Be fun to watch, but then we'd have no game anymore. Besides, I'm sure Bungee does have internal player advocates that tell them all these same things. They probably have plans to fix them all, many of which are probably very quick and simple. But if they gave us a perfect game now, what would they sell us in 3 months? They would literally satisfy their customers so much that they put themselves out of a job.

Deej seems like a good guy. I think he does a shit ton more than we give him credit for, and I'm certain he does a shit ton more than he lets on. Deej is also employed by Bungie. He's not going to shit all over them in a publicity reveal. This is THEIR official forum. The reveal was a PR move to build hype, not a press conference. The questions you want asked are just complaints. They're not constructive and they don't lead anywhere. Constructive criticism offers possible paths to solutions. Saying "It's broken. Fix it." isn't constructive. You have to, at a minimum, define what's broken.

Opinions are never facts, so saying that chores aren't fun when people have fun playing this game is a stupid and pointless argument. Destiny is a game of pewee soccer, almost everyone there doesn't care about what happens and the outcome, they just want to have fun, but then there is that one kid, that always throws a bitch fit because their team lost, and he says "how do you guys like this?" And the kids reply "it's fun, no matter if we win or lose." But the kid is so thick skulled he can't comprehend that you can have fun with a certain outcome or event happening. Seriously if you don't like this game then just -blam!- off, no one here cares about "shady business practice" or cut content, since we all enjoy this game for what it is. And too all the people who spread his videos, he using you. He's very smart too. YouTube gives you money off of views, so the more views the more money, that's why he keeps making this pointless destiny videos, to make money, and he knows that the Destiny fans will hear about these videos and come to watch them. So he's kicking the hornets nest waiting for them to all come and swarm him. But he's in a protective suit so he doesn't care about getting hurt, he just wants use to give him honey. And of course bdobbins asks the hard questions, he has nothing to lose, he just spews out hate and his cult following devours it. He has no worries or responsibilities.

You're not supposed to shoot the messenger. Deej is Bungie's employee, who's job is to pass information from the community to the devs, and vice versa. He's not an elected official who is supposed to work for us and bitch at bungie. I think he's done very well. He is professional and mature. I vote to keep Deej.

You know what, I think Deej is pretty cool; the man wakes up to try and make everyone happy but people yell at him for making the smallest mistake, but he still does it. Why? Cuz he cares. So take your ungrateful ass an play COD or something
