What is the best pve shotgun?
I would like an official answer: what is the best pve shotgun? People seem to be all over the map with this one but I feel like there is no true answer. Can someone prove me wrong?

Found Verdict, Sword Breaker and Invective. That covers all three burns.

Invective is addictive. Powerful, fast, automatic, ammo regen... I really like it.

Found Verdict, the range stat on that gun isn't actually indicative if it's actual range while ADS. Prolly for most shotguns, but the fact it's base Arc and auto, it is known round these parts as the Captain melter

I only use shotguns if I know I'll be fighting shielded enemies at close range (strike, nightfall, raid, you name it). And what is best against shields? You guessed it, weapons with elemental damage. Found verdict for arc shields and the crota raid shotgun for void shields or unshielded hive majors. Haven't found a favorite solar shotgun for those -blam!-ing cabal majors yet... Anyone got any tips on that part? Edit: damn autocorrect...

I love my full auto dry rot. Void damage devastates minotaurs.

You want high ROF shotguns for PvE. Found Verdict, Dry Rot and Swordbreaker are great. Lord of Wolves does an insane amount of damage and Invective is also fantastic. You can't go wrong with any of those.

Big fan of found verdict. Solar Dry Rot with full auto is a lot of fun too, particularly against cabal majors.

Big fan of [u]Found Verdict[/u] myself, 6 in the tube, full auto, final round and a descent reload speed. I'd say it depends on your playstyle, I myself like quick follow up shots and fast reloads, so I look for a shotgun with solid stats and a good mag size and roll until I get something along the lines of: Full auto, flared magwell and luck in the chamber or army of one. (The last perk would be dependent upon your armor) Eg: my Titan has great intellect and strength stats but lacks in discipline, so all of his shotguns and snipers have been rolled for the perks listed above along with Grenadier or Army of One. There's a ton of good shotguns to go with the roll I listed above but a few of my favorites would have to be: Felwinters Lie (6rnd mag) Matador 64 (5rnd mag) Party Crasher +1 (5rnd mag)

Felwinters with auto, speed reload and a third perk of your choice. Felwinters impact at double the rate of fire, it's amazing

Found Verdict takes some beating. Full Auto, Arc and has a range perk on it. Great for captains in the Skolas fight.
