So my melee... is smoke?
I plan on maiming the Nightstalker class in September, but I'm very confused on the smoke grenade. Is it a grenade or a melee? The DestinyWiki has "Smoke" under the melee category and then the Horizontal Wall grenade thing is the new grenade.
So how the hell does it work? When I'm in a close quarter battle, is my first melee going to be my Hunter tossing some pocket sand in someone's face? It kind of sounds like it'll kill me more than it kills or disorients others.
Anyone care to explain?

Doesn't make a difference if you're close enough you knife, like how after throwing your knife you can only melee. If you're out of knifing range then you smoke we-uh I mean smoke bomb.

It is a special melee ability, then you use your knife after the smoke, and I think the smoke may damage enemies.

It is like a throwing knife. If u are facing your enemy and are within melee range, u will stab them. If you are not looking at them or not in melee range, u will throw it

It's like a grenade. You can throw it, and it'll blind and damage enemies inside of it. Think of it like throwing knife, but it releases smoke wherever it hits.

It can be like poison gas but it its just a smog blanket that does 7 damage a tick. It can be upgraded for more damage. Great for keeping a room clear. Also blocking hallways.

It's a support class, obviously the class isnt designed to offensively kill people.
