What did Bungie mean by don't dismantle anything
Did they mean duplicates of weapons, gear?

deeJ insinuated that the items remaining in your possession when TTK drops are factored in to decide your player level.

1 ReplyI'm not 100% on the year 1 infusion thing, but if you get rid of your weapons and gear you won't be 34 going into taken King and your gear and weapon all will contribute to your light level.

5 RepliesIf you are a 34, you will start TTK as a 34. You will start at whatever level you are with your best gear on, so if you dismantle it, you'll start as a lower level.

3 RepliesYou can use your old gear to ascend other stuff, basically you put have one weapon and you add another one to it to create a bette version of the other weapon

I think they ment all your gear u have they will comine it to a level. If u are lvl 34 you get lvl 34 but if u have alot of gear with much light u get higher starting lvl

Dismantling also gives you new stuff. So don't dismantle prematurely is what they really meant.

4 RepliesThe algorithm that determines your level once ttk drops takes into account everything you have. If you dismantle all of your legendaries you may be a lower level once ttk drops.

god only knows because i didnt see anything in that reveal that told me the benefit of not dismantling anything, other than perhaps dismantling them post TTK and getting legendary marks?
