Warlock, Hunter, Titan
The three classes make up the three different archetypes of the game, each contributing different play-styles, load outs, and exotics, to suit one's preferences and allow them to play as they wish.
But why are we limited to creating only one of each class, or two/three duplicates and one/zero of the other choices?
WoW gives you a total of 50 characters, over 10 servers, SWTOR gives you 12-22 per server, and many more all give you more choices and slots than Destiny.
Destiny gives you three slots. Not three per server, not three with an option to earn more, just three. Besides the number of classes, there seems to be no reason behind this arbitrary number, far inferior to virtually every other MMO.
But now, with TTK rapidly approaching and the inclusion of an actual story mode, many players are professing their intentions to want to go back and rediscover the story and the content added. However, they don't want to delete one of their characters, that they spent months leveling up and getting all the necessary gear for each respective subclass.
So, as necessity dictates, Bungie, would you please reconsider your decision to only limit is to a maximum of three characters, and give us a fourth slot to truly allow us to re-engage ourselves in Destiny's newfound story?
Edit: Everyone's been making good points about a fourth character adding thirty more slots for primary/special/heavy weapons. I didn't think about that when I made the thread.

1 ReplyIf they ever introduce a fourth class, then open a fourth slot. Until then it's fine how it is.
