1 ReplyI think part of it is for bounties, like how you get weapon shells/blueprints or whatever in the current exotic bounties. Part of it (I'm hoping) is so that we can just get rid of our exotics but access them immediately without them being in the vault. Might be a way around vault space.

3 RepliesProbably something along the lines of a bounty build type system. Kinda like the exotic bounties bit maybe a little more complex. I think I remember a Dark Below info post By Deej where they were going to implement more mission and build type weapons sorta like the necrochasm.

1 ReplyI really hope it's like the shader and emblem kiosk.

I'm hoping it's to make exotics that bit more exotic. By acquiring the weapon blue print you then have to go on mini quests to acquire parts to assemble the gun :)

1 ReplyPlausible theory: Dismantle an exotic to upgrade another exotic of the same weapon-type. This could change a perk and the look of the weapon. Less plausible theory: Dismantle an exotic from the same weapon archetype (Primary, Special, Heavy) to upgrade another exotic of the same weapon archetype. This could change a perk/perks drastically and probably won't affect the look of the weapon much if at all. Least plausible theory, but the most fun: Dismantle an exotic from any weapon archetype to upgrade another exotic of any other weapon archetype. Want to shoot bouncing Wolfpack rounds that deal Void damage? GO RIGHT AHEAD YOU BADASS! These seem like the most likely of any theories behind Exotic blueprints.

1 ReplyProbably need another material to upgrade year 1 exotics into year 2 attack. ~TheGreatNike

1 ReplyThat psn will get better stuff

3 RepliesI know this view will be unpopular, but I'm really hoping this won't become a way of switching around perks on exotics. That will just make for another meta-game rush for the 'perfect' (ie cheesy) version of guns that do maximum damage at minimum effort. While Thorn with hidden hand and wolf pack rounds to go with mark of the devourer is unlikely, that's the kind of thing I'm talking about- basically, playing the game as a spreadsheet to exploit loopholes instead of mastering new and interesting ways of playing the game.

2 RepliesProbably the same exact concept as warframe's prime weapons.
-
My guess would be that once you have the exotic you unlock the blueprint allowing you to then make more from spare parts collected.
-
5 RepliesI'm hoping you don't have to sacrifice a current one to get an upgraded version (two for one). That would suck.
-
3 RepliesMy theory is that if you watch the stream tonight or read the forum tomorrow you'll know exactly what it is :p
-
1 ReplyI'm guessing you'll be able to switch up the perks and maybe add element damage. Hopefully. Arc powered Hard Light please 🙋

1 Replyi think theres going to be some type of system to were you can upgrade current exotics to be better, in the trailer today they mentioned something about infusion but didnt say anything about it
