Thorn Weapon Bounty void kills?
Anyone else has this crap? It's seriously annoying me now I've had to restart this countless times. If anyone has the time to help me where we can form a fire team on rumble and just kill each other until its done. I'd really appreciate it. Im not a pvp guy.

Tips find the best primary you(void is not neaded.) Then find a void shotgun. Get the enemies half way with the primary then shotgun to the face or melee if warlock or Titan.

Do control with full void load out, it's hardest as a hunter atm due to lack of void subclass

I'm rubbish at PVP and I got it with ease. I was my Titan defender with void grenade and melee. I used word of Crota, a void shotgun, and a void rocket. I have to admit, I got most of my kills with the shotgun. I have a void auto rifle now, so it would be much easier! Play objective, and just ignore the objectives and go for kills.

2 RepliesEdited by sitewave: 8/19/2015 10:10:05 AMI've just done it this week and I'm pretty pants at PvP. Having an all void loud out goes without saying and being a Void Walker helps of course. I treaded pretty carefully, ran away plenty, hid around corners with a shotty a lot and even, I'm afraid, left a couple of games that were clearly against high skill opponents. Some games I added 60 points, others hardly any. Took about 3.5 hours in a couple of sessions. The biggest challenge for me was the weakness of the void primaries and special ammo scarcity. I couldn't win any 1v1s so followed others or flanked to nick kills. The other tip would be use a HMG, get heavy, stay out of the way while the rockets fly, then nurse your ammo for as many kills as possible. Not proud of some of the tactics but completing this bounty with my limited skill was one my best achievements in the game so stick with it. Word of Crota Swordbreaker/Party Crasher Chain of Orbiks

Use a warlock voidwalker or a Titan defender. Off course only void weapons. A heavy machine gun with void is very good to get some easy kills. Play skirmish and stick with your teammates. Skirmish is the best mode because it's not that hectic, you don't have objectives and the pace is normally a bit slow. Just take your time and try to get as many headshots as possible. As long as your kd is above 0.66 you still progress. If you die too many times, leave. If you find a good team, invite them to your fireteam. Nowadays it's easy. I did it back in the day with only a rare fushion rifle with void. Now that was crap!

Use a void sniper and a void MG. Those will net you more kills while maintaining a higher K/D spread. ~[i]TheGreatNike[/i]

I did this when I was level 27 with a blue rarity void shotgun and a void btrd, its honestly not that hard as long as you maintain above a 1.0 kd, so just get like 2 kills per life, hide, don't play objectives, etc.

It's frustrating but that's what makes it hard when u lose ur head it gets harder. I suck at PVP really bad but it only took me like 3 days and I don't even have a void primary

That damn bounty sat in my inventory for months. Once I finally got a Void primary (Word of Crota) it was a lot easier.

I'm terrible at PVP, my first thorn bounty took me weeks to finish. My second took me most of an Iron Banner, my third was done the first day of the last Iron Banner. The thorn bounty makes you think about how to play in the crucible, it got me into PVP although I'm still not any good. Do it the right way, you'll get a good weapon and you'll expand and improve your experience of the game. Stick with it.

Get a void Party Crasher/Matador and a void, Grenades and horseshoes rocket launcher and go to town.

Stop dying so much. You only need like a .7 k/d to make progress. Play smarter. Use only void weapons. Hell, now you can re roll guns to get void damage. I used Praedyths Revenge/Two to the Morgue and Against All Odds to do mine in about an hour and I only carry a 1.2 overall KD. If you boost for it, nothing will change for you. The point of the bounty is not to be hard for no reason, it's teach you how to do better in the crucible so that when you get Thorn, you'll be ready to use it.

Word of Crota, Atheon's Epilogue (post patch), Praedyth's Revenge, Crota Shotgun (name escapes me), and Truth. You should be fine.
