Two women just earned their Ranger Tabs!
As long as the criteria was the same for them, I think this is awesome.
Anyone who thinks they don't deserve it are welcome to try to get into Ranger School and pass it your damned selves.

3 RepliesCriteria was not the same. They originally failed but we're allowed to try until they passed. I'm not anti female solder, but this is strictly publicity stunt.

BTW BTW BTW BTW Ranger School=\=RASP (Aka the program to get into the 75th Ranger Battalion). Any non-Combat MOS can do Ranger School and doesn't make you a Ranger.

I say well done to them both! However, I worry for them. If they are on the front line or whatever and captured by the enemy, what do you think will happen to them? They probably won't see them as soldiers, but women.

2 RepliesI don't care so long as the standards were the same. My opinion is, the enemy doesn't care what gender you are. The military isn't a social experiment, it's meant to be as efficient as possible. If a woman serves a role more efficiently than a man, she deserves the role. If not, then she doesn't it. Simple as that. The idea of lowering standards for a life or death occupation is ridiculous to me.
