PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: Stop Grinding Grimoire!
Your Grimoire score will no longer be shown in your player card for the Taken Wallet.
How are we gonna know how experienced a player is? Bungie please fix this asap.

I only use grimoire to get a basis on how long someone has played, it obviously doesn't factor into skill.

Too much effort to grind it, I'll grab the ghosts and stuff because I like reading the cards but actual grimoire score is pretty pointless

You just said we wont know how experienced someone is, in the same sentence as grinding grimoire, so basically, anyone can grind grimoire, and that makes then experienced... lets go find all the ghosts so ill be better at the game! No... Then go kills dregs with a pulse and fusion rifle for grimoire, yay im good now! No...

3 RepliesGrimoire honestly to me shows how LONG someone has played. If I see a lvl 5 guardian with grimoire of 200. I know he's new to the game. If I see a lvl 5 guardian with grimoire of 3500. I know he's experienced and knows what he's doing. Whether people like it or not, grimoire does indicate an experienced player from an inexperienced player. Whether they're better or not is another issue.

I am an experienced player. I do what I enjoy doing. My Grimoire reflects that. I don't like to play PvP and because of that I have not hit 3500, just under but who cares. I got the guns. I got the armor. I can kill bosses and bosses and their progeny too! The Grimoire score is for me, because it is my own personal measuring stick for myself. BTW all the people who say it's about Ghosts and Crucible, well those are the little bitches that have lower scores, otherwise they would know that there is a lot more in a Grimoire score than that.

Grimoire score can be viewed when you inspect the character.
