Might be a nill topic, but is there any class that has defense or a counter defense against across the map rockets?
Soon as the heavy spawns the games always turn into jumping with rockets repeatedly
Anyone?
***Edit: Within 15 min min of posting this, I get a Ash Factory drop with "grenades & horseshoes"... LMAO

Blink will counter the rockets

Can you shoot rockets out of the air?
-
Honestly in my case they're dead from my sniper by the time they get heavy.
-
Use blink to escape. That only works if you have room to move, though. Stay out of tight spaces. It takes skill, and some luck. I was able to wipe the enemy team in a trials heavy round that way, but In my case, it was mostly luck, lol. I've seen skilled people blink through my rockets many times, and that's with me running proximity and javelin.

Fist of havoc to tank. Shoulder charge to evade (doesn't always work but it never hurts to try.) Kill'em first. Defender bubble. Go invis and be a filthy sneaky backstabber. Blink to evade. This will sound weird but blink at the rocket. It works about 45% of the time for me. Try to be at point blank range when they get heavy. Even if you die the splash damage might get them too. Save your super for heavy. Learn to snipe: this is especially useful in maps like sky shock, twilight gap, and pantheon were the chests are more in the open.

4 RepliesEdited by LazorWoof: 8/19/2015 12:12:20 PMAs a titan, I can say the only time I've ever wanted blink is when heavy ammo drops. Blink is invulnerable during its animation and I've wasted many rockets trying to kill just one blink-er. Hell I've seen people blink out of the three sticky grenades (not all three at once, though that would b a good experiment). Other than that, I would say be nimble. Even if an enemy has a rocket with grenade and horseshoes, if the rocket has a blast radius that isn't maxed out, you have a small chance of surviving by run and sliding away. I found jumping in the air is no good since if you do manage to live from the first rocket, you are now in the air undoubtedly about to get hammered by the follow up shot.

Blink

2 RepliesSuicidal charge with maxxed armour defender. With practice, you can storm enemy heavy spawn, if you fail stealing their ammo, you can chew on two rockets before the third will kill you. All without ward if dawn.

Kill them before they get rockets :p

Blink.

Blink. If you dont use blink you are basically gonna get fcked in the ass by rocket blinkers
-
As far as normal rockets go, just evade. Generally evading towards them and slightly to the left or right will have the rocket sail past you. That being said, finding anyone without grenades and horseshoes or tracking is an utter rarity these days. So i can't be of much help.

The Titans bubble.

Quad jump

Blink... Oh wait...

1 ReplyLag switch. It's the only thing that works against a rocket but it won't work against Bungie. Pick your poison.
-
Grab your heavy ammo, then find a hole and hide until the explosions stop. Then come out and wreck the joint.
-
1 Replyget heavy, camp in corner till all heavy is gone makes it a lot easier to get kills
-
Hiding. Works during IB on certain maps when I'm trying to get a kill streak. Then I pop out after everybody's killed each other and mow them down with my Jolder's Hammer.

1 ReplyI've been told there are these things called "walls" and "boulders" that work real well.

1 ReplyWard of dawn, fist of havoc, blade dancer(if its not a gjallarhorn), another rocket, lag, dashboard the game, don't go into crucible, jump, camp
