Must you wear Gloohoo to STAND A CHANCE for The Crux?
I know it must be on hard. And you can't do normal. Must do hard straight. But is wearing Glowhoo a compulsory requirement?
Plus can I farm it in other characters?

You can do normal then hard it doesn't matter trust me and glowhoo must be in inventory to have a chance. It doesn't have to be equipped just in inventory.

My friend got the crux and he didn't have anything equipped from the raid. I personally think it doesn't matter what you wear it just has a low drop rate.

You don't have to wear it, but it has to be in your inventory.

You just have to have it and the emblem in your inventory or else the game will recognize "oh you don't have these yet must be your first time" and give them again IN PLACE OF A CRUX/WEAPON

No, I've got it four times but needed to do about 25 hard completions before I got the first one.

No. I have 3 and I never wear glowhoo. Just grind it bro, ik it sucks. Took forever for timepiece to drop for me.

No. Nor is having had it drop. Nor is having already completed HM Crota at all. Back in February/March, we had a guy on the team who hadn't completed HM Crota before. The rest of us had several times, and all had Glowhoo. The guy whose first HM Crota it was got the Crux. None of the rest of us did.

Got the Crux on my Hunter last night, (yay!) no Glowhoo equipped... I was using Word, Vestian Dynasty (Oversoul Killer there) and Gjally. Only raid stuff I had on was the boots and WoC... I did have Glowhoo in my inventory though.

I've heard many crazy theory's my favorite is "you need to have husk,eidolon ally equipped"! I and many others can tell you that drops are 100% random. Just keep at it and your day will come. Good luck 😉

I got one without having glowhoo in my inventory and without having it on. Just another destiny myth like the spirit bloom chest in VoG

Guy last night as we run crota HM. At the start... Hunter invis, runs lamps solo [i]all I need is the crux [/i] Bridge 1 weird totem wipe, then smooth sailing. [i]man I better get that crux[/i] Hallway Kill thrall, shoot purple balls, get chest. [i]look at my load out, it's everything crota [/i] Ir Yut She died fast...clean up on aisle 5 [i]I have everything but the crux, I'm gonna get it [/i] Crota So...things get laggy, ppl wanna try 2 swords, we deal with ogres, etc. After getting to crota in 20 minutes, takes us almost 1.5 hrs to kill it. Knights are bouncing around, swordbearer ran in CRYSTAL ROOM. We go to orbit and come back. We get back, start it up, make orbs, guy gets 4 hits on crota (nice)...we kill him. [i]I got the crux! Look at my load out! I told you! [/i] [spoiler]holds triangle,leaves fireteam [/spoiler] Lol, I was a little salty.

Only thing I have ever heard was that you need atleast 1 HM completion...that's it, seen videos that show players getting it without Shaders or Emblems equipped

Nope. My wife and I dropped in just for the Crota CP last night, and she got a Crux. I've received 2 now... No Glowhoo.

No you dont even have to have husk or eidolon alley... I have been trying to get it for months with no luck but I did see it drop for a guy in my raid who didnt even have the precursors or even want it lol.

Negative. I didn't even have it on my character when my first crux dropped. However, I do keep the emblem and two shaders on my characters when beat crota to keep them from dropping instead of something else.

2 RepliesDude I didn't believe it but when I said I couldn't get crux people told me to put on glowhoo and so on my final character of that week I put glowhoo on at the end before fighting Crota and I got the crux Very weird voodoo shit

It's rng lol its interesting how the human brain can't deal with 'random', it tried desperately to find order in the chaos like the false belief that you can get gally if you exit nightfall at the end then come back in, or that wearing glowhoo increases your chances of the crux dropping. It's called random... study probability and statistics ;)

You can do easy then hard, you still get it, ofc less chance since its not double drops, you dont need a certain ship, shader equip or in inv and emblem, its pure luck

From my understanding you have to have at least 1 crota's end completion on hard . That's why people say you need glowhoo
