Must you wear Gloohoo to STAND A CHANCE for The Crux?
I know it must be on hard. And you can't do normal. Must do hard straight. But is wearing Glowhoo a compulsory requirement?
Plus can I farm it in other characters?

2 RepliesThere is one truth and one truth only to getting the crux, beating crota on hard. Anyone that tries to tell you anything different is full of shit, it's an RNG drop and a rather rare one at that.

It's all luck. Didn't have the shaders on me. Didn't have the gun to upgrade. It's just luck.

No only have it in your inventory, but if you do normal mode, your chance for the crux is removed for the week. You can only do hard mode for a chance of the crux dropping

It's doesn't matter what you have. BUUUUUUT here are the theories... And to be honest it worked for me. I had 40 hard crota completions and never got the crux. I did the bullshit theories and got it first attempt. So take it for what you will. Have both crota shaders in your inventory (don't wear), have edion ally fully upgraded in ur inventory, and be swordbearer.

You basically get a box checked off in your profile (behind the scenes) by getting glowhoo on your first hard mode crota completion After that it can drop anytime you kill crota hard (1x per weekly reset per guardian)

Actually no there are requirements. Have to have earned the glowhoo shader on the character ur using to attempt to get crux but do not need to equipped it. Second have to do hard without starting normal first. People may say that's bullshit but it worked for me and I get them most of the time when I do crota hard now. I'll equipped necro for proof that I got it but like I said it worked for me.

You have to have a kinect and body paint yourself glohoo while wearing the shader to have best chance.

1 ReplyThe only requirement is that you beat it a second time. It will not drop on your first hard mode completion [per character]. But you have a chance to get it your 2nd. 3rd. 4th... and so on. Anyone who says otherwise is retarded. Fact.

No but your first run there is a 0% chance of getting it as you are garanteed to get a shader and maybe one of the primary weapons

All you do is Crota hard. Doesn't matter what order, doesn't matter the shader, doesn't even matter race, gender, or religion. It is purely random.

Not at all - you can be beamed into a hard raid last minute and be a dead ghost and still nab crux

I've got the crux 8 times only once did I have glowhoo on.

4 RepliesEdited by Sally Boy: 8/17/2015 2:23:53 PMThis is the way I got my 5 crux to fall. I never ever got it to drop until I did this, I equipped the shader, emblem and full raid gear. Once I did that in a span of about 3 weeks I got it to fall 4 times. That's how it worked for me. (:
