I've owned this game not long after it came out i've bought all the dlc's and put a decent 500 hours in what ive played, dispite how bad the story and multiplayer can be, and yet they demand 40$ for a dlc wich 75 % of it I already have. Yea it has alot of stuff with it but its still dlc. Does anyone else not agree with this, let bungie know they just might listen.

40 dollars is too much for content that should have been in the game in the first place
-
I agree with it costing $40, it has close to the same amount of content as the the original game.
-
Yes I agree and I'm not buying until the price comes down. If it takes too long then I'll just never buy it.
-
30$ at most

I'm upgrading to ps4 anyway so I got the ttk collectors edition ps4. Get all the destiny stuff for free.
-
Atleast it's not 60$. There's going to be just as many weapons for it than vanilla Destiny had.
-
5 RepliesSeems more worth that now. Problem was year one wasn't worth the $100

Edited by Bungolickstaints: 8/17/2015 8:57:03 PMNot worth it all at. The first expansions weren't worth 20. If anything I should get it for free just for wasting my time and money supporting a company that picks and chooses their feedback on the basis of what's easiest to implement. Bungee talks about facial hair more often than optional MM or in-game lfg options. Yet I've only ever seen 1 or 2 posts asking for facial hair. I honestly don't care, at all, if my character has facial hair. Especially considering one of them is a freaking robot. *facepalm* Especially when you consider games like Fallout will cost $60.... Why not just spend an extra 20 and get a brand new game? Then wait till the Destiny expansion is cheap/free?

I think it's worth it. One way or another though, we won't know for sure until it's out, just like any other game/DLC.

12 RepliesEdited by CrunchyBroth: 8/17/2015 12:51:32 AMNah man youve put about 293 hours and 4 minutes into the game. Nice try tho

5 RepliesTell me how the multiplayer is bad and yes a minor story but do i play darkouls 2 for story no i play it for the challenge
-
From what the gameinformer guys say, it's got the content to be worth the $40.
-
It probably will be worth it. For me lately, the trouble has been deciding if I want to spend $40 on video games, or other hobbies. If TTK truly lives up to the hype surrounding it at the moment, then I'll probably purchase it. Heck, I haven't even bought the other two DLC's yet and I even played back during the beta.
-
I do not agree with it being a DLC. TTK basically scraps everything year one was so I would have rather seen a whole new game with even more content for $60 than a supposed add on.
-
I think it's to late all big Youtuber's already have their copies from gamescom
-
I wasn't convinced when I first heard it, but having seen a large amount of info on the game it's certainly shaping up to be worthy of that. But it's all down to what you value really, vanilla Destiny and the expansions provided me with a large amount of game time for the price. If this can duplicate that and still keep me interested then I'm more than okay with the price, if it's something that'll only keep me busy for 1 weekend, then perhaps not.
-
2 RepliesConsidering it'll be around the size of a full game I think the price is fair.

5 RepliesEdited by lifer31: 8/17/2015 4:41:17 PMKeeping in mind that Destiny is billed as a ten-year project and isn't a subscription-based game, I understand the need for Bungie to generate revenue from both veteran players and new players alike. That being said, I feel like year one felt more than a little rough around the edges in a "beta" kind of way. So I understand both sides of the argument. I would have liked them to offer this expansion at a price point of around $25-$30 for year-one players. However, the real question of value per dollar can only be answered by the product itself. So for now, its really just speculation on whether the price is high or not.

3 RepliesIf you feel that way then don't buy it. Seriously if you're on the fence just wait until the next round of dlc is announced and you'll get this batch at a discount. Unless you're all about being "first" or collecting "memories" there is no point in buying in at launch.

1 ReplyIt's 70 bucks in Aus I would rather pay 40 trust me
-
Should be more. Jk us too much
-
It's fine. $80 = 20 - base game 20 - TDB 20 - HOW 20 - TTK 0 - additional stuff. However you move those numbers around it'll make sense.
-
You can but the doc for 20 $ .-.
