Why is Invective so rarely seen in PvP?
I can't even remember the last time I've noticed that gun in PvP. I recently began upgrading mine and I love it. If you use the stability perk, that horrid recoil vanishes and you're left with a super fast, full auto, long range, ammo generating beast.
I don't why it gets looked over so much. The impact isn't that great, but any shotgun will 1-shot anybody in PvP, so who cares?
Why aren't YOU using it? I'm just curious, I guess.
Edit: Obviously, shotgun runners and blinkers aren't using it because you can't 1-shot from stupidly long range, but I'm talking about everybody else. Nobody likes you.

Same it's amazing for taking out self Rez warlocks and enemies who just got revived

Because you need to put your barrel down their throat to one shot someone and you can't spray because atrocious mag size and reload speed. To be honest the shotgun perk nerfs are only going to hurt the lower impact shotguns even more. The felwinters and co will barely behave differently just like last time. They need their actual impact stat lowered

Because it takes up an exotic slot and most are still using Thorn and TLW.

Really? I tend to use it a fair bit, and I hear others using it. Obviously not as many as FelMatCrashers though.

People used to use the heck out of it when I started back in November. Then we started to see more shotguns with shot package and range finder. It just slowly faded and after HoW with all the weapon reforge, everyone was maxing their legendary shotgun ranges making them far better Invective. I even used it like crazy till I got my full auto Two to the Morgue. It outclassed it so it collects dust.

Because it uses an exotic slot in PvP. People prefer other exotics taking the slot

Gotta save the exotic slot for my last word, but I used to use invective. I still think it's like one of the fastest rate of fire shotguns

I use to use it with The Strangers Rifle (just melts in PVP), was amazing, but then i decided to use an exotic primary.

4 RepliesDoesn't have the sniper capabilities of the legendary ones. No shot package. This will change and you'll see it get back to a top tier shotty after 2.0

2 RepliesI like it. I use it. BUT it doesn't have the same impact as a Legendary at the same range. So I fall back to the higher impact guns now (in PvP)... Sigh..... That said, it's the only shotgun I'll use in PvE.... Just don't like having to worry about ammo.

1. Because it's an exotic. 2. Because thorn is an exotic... 3. Because it's under valued, and because people tend to go for long range 1 shot shotguns and invective is a medium range shotgun, albeit an excellent one.

It's a shame because it is one of my favorite gun designs in the game. Plus I don't have many good primary weapons for pvp since the AR nerf...so red death usually occupies my exotic weapon slot.

There are very few reasons to not use an exotic primary in pvp if your goal is to win, also, whether you like it or not, it is well outclassed by several purples

I feel it's for 2 reasons it's full auto burns through ammo too quickly to keep up with the regeneration & it's easily outclassed in both range & impact by plenty of commonly available legendary shotguns.

Might see some more after the shotty range perk nerfs. It's good, but it's rarely a one hit kill which so many legendaries can achieve without taking your exotic slot. I tend to use Universal Remote (with a sniper) on my Hunter, which can hit much further and still drop someone in one or two hits. You more or less always have ammo for that anyway. It just tends to leave a higher chance of survival in CQC.

Because it is at best a decent shotgun but it takes an exotic slot so it is a terrible choice, found verdict is better

I don't usually play PvP But when I do, I use Invective (True story)
