Target eliminating "gender oriented" sections for kids

So target just announced that they're getting rid of "gender oriented" sections for kids, which means now pretty much you'll see transformers toys next to Barbie dolls. Personally I think its a big step but not necessarily a good idea, the last thing young kids need is to be confused by seeing a Superman t-shirt next to a pink t-shirt with flowers on it. I don't have kids (I'm 19) but I don't want my younger brothers and sister being confused by all these changes. What are your thoughts? It's meant so that boys could find the toys geared towered boys and the girls could find there toys. Not to mix it together and show them stuff they're not interested in. If a boy wants to get a Barbie he can go over to the section geared towards girls.
