I wanted to give ToO a try today. I'm not that big into pvp or any good at it but I wanted to give it an honest try. I tried it once before and it was a short experience but I figured I should give it another go. So I go to recruitment and LFG for a team...
Good freaking lord. The crap players demand is ridiculous. "Don't waste my time" "I go flawless every week" " I've seen the lighthouse hundreds of times". "You can't join unless you have went flawless" "your balls have to weigh at least 1.1lbs"
Wtf happened to players who want to have fun and try their best? Where is the "fun" recruitment section? I'm not playing to have another stress on my life... This is my stress reliever. Some of these ppl need to chill, play, and maybe even smile.
I still want to give it a try again but with players willing to joke, laugh, and have fun. If we do good... Cool. If not, it was still cool.
So if anyone wants to play trials without a stick up their bum let me know
Edit: thx to everyone posting. Glad to see others feel the same way.
I'm on Xbox one. Add me if you want to give it a go!
Edit 2: I need to clarify. I have not yet tried to join a Trials group. I started looking on LFG and what I saw is detailed above.
EDIT3: I hate edits but see why they are used now. Lol. I know there is a casual option in LFG. (Not really in recruitment) but there are way fewer posts in that section.
Thanks for the likes! This is trending! It shows that their are more decent ppl out there than the... Non-decent.
UPDATE: I've posted some requests for teams. No takers. Do I have something in my teeth?

Feeling like it should be renamed to Trials of Sweatsiris

Edited by Dooodley: 8/17/2015 8:03:49 PMYeah ToO is by far the saddest and most pathetic form of matchmaking I've come across. It's basically a mix of people who don't know what true competitive gaming is, people who got carried and now are looking for other people who can carry them, people who drop as soon as it's starting to look like a loss - despite that they are the reason for it - and 1 % who just want to play for fun.

I feel your pain I dread getting on lfg for trials due to everybody asking for ppl that's already been flawless before. The ppl I join half the time just suck worse than I do. All I want is to goto the lighthouse for the first time. Btw I'm on ps4 and will be on about 8:30pm est tonight if anybody wanna help later... Message me on playstation - lowridertk84

There should be a 12 player rumble u only need to win 3 times to go to the lighthouse
-
1 ReplyI'm not defending these d bags but you have to understand it's a highly competitive game mode. Of course there's gonna be a ton of requirement posts. If you look long and hard enough there's people out there just looking to play. I would also suggest playing the elimination game mode for practice

There is a ToO Casual option on DestinyLFG.net
-
2 RepliesThis is why there should be a matchmaking option.
-
18 RepliesGoing flawless is probably the only sense of accomplishment these idiots have in their lives.
-
7 RepliesI never understood why people want flawless runs. If they've been going flawless every week since HoW's release, what is there to even get anymore from the Lighthouse? I'd much rather just help people who haven't gone flawless. And if we don't go flawless, -blam!- if I care, at least I tried and gave some poor folks the chance to try Trials.
-
2 RepliesI'm with u man.. Trials and Skolas are the last two things I've got to do this expansion and it honestly doesn't look like it's happening. Skolas isn't that big of a deal I just didn't have gally up till this weekend, but trials is gonna be a whole different beast considering I don't have any friends to play.. I would like to think of myself as a relatively good player, over 1.0 KD and nearly all my games i actually try I'm on top. Think I'm just gonna wait till TTK at this point.. I'm really just not looking forward to having to sort through the trash and douches on LFG.

cCarnitin. Send me a message when I'm on and I'll most likely join!

The people who go flawless hundreds of times and don't want to waste time have no friends that want to play with them, which is why they are on LFG. I've never been flawless, but my friends want to run ToO with me.
-
4 RepliesThat's what happens when you introduce the incredibly competitive, cutthroat environment of Trials. The only way to be rewarded is to win, and Trials is very unforgiving to losers.
-
3 RepliesI don't even bother now, I've left it too long to try out ToO I think. I don't even want to reach 9-0 I just want to try it out :-/. I don't want to let people down and I can't be arsed with getting squeakers insulting me for dying. Ah well..

when i was first getting into ToO i'd go on destinylfg.net, they have a casual / relaxed trials section, so you knew you wasnt gonna get raged at if you wasnt upto par! but i agree, it is kindda stupid some of the things that people require to be able to join them.

Just sent the request right now.

Check my clan Also just look for people who don't post that stuff

In my experience the people posting high demands claiming to be "premium" members to the lighthouse are usually the worse of the worse. I had honest people asking to be carried perform with more effort, but these "elite" members will be the first to have the lowest k/d with maybe one or two kills and then after your team losses they will be the first to quit. But no worries if you don't mind having them at the bottom for every win they won't complain at all. Feel free to add me of your on Xbox one.

1 ReplyCheck out and follow Korrupt_ (underscore is part if the name) on Twitch. He carried me through Trials this weekend. He is a great guy and helps people with ToO. Very nice and gives good advice. He's also great at communicating, and you will learn a lot from him.

7 RepliesEdited by Cour8ois: 8/17/2015 6:29:25 AMI think the ToO are great tbh 3 vs 3 in a strategic way. Here is the gun skill not the most prominent thing you need. You have other things to consider like, map knowledge, map positions, adepting to strategies and having multiple strategies you can change on the fly and most important communication and patience. This best of 9 rounds thing is great. Bungie did a good job on this. The one thing that makes an otherwise fun game more needlessly stressful is the flawless requirement. I realise bungie wants to vary things a bit but the one thing bungie keeps doing in my opinion is overestimating the players. Jerks will always be jerks thats a given. But this community has alot of them. At least on the forums and the lfg. Most people are nice irl but these forum have become toxic because.....? I dont know why that is for sure but it's the case now anyways. Bungy releases the ToO with a high end pvp goal in mind. This was one thing that was lacking a bit. Or was it? The IB never got any real love because of the lag switchers and the fact that the gear you could win was not on par with the crota gear. Not because it was to grindy or not fun. About 90% of my friends tried ToO a few tomes and decided that a flawless run was not happening any time soon and they left the ToO. Many friends all of a sudden are checking eachothers stats because they dont want to waiste any time. I have been to the lighthouse because I learned the game from guys who do this multiple time a week and because I wanted to invest time in the teamplay. But thats just me. This is just horrible execution from a designer standpoint. My guess is that about 10 to 15% of the people who bought HoW plays this. High end gameplay or not this is about 30% of your dlc content is played by 15% of your custumers....I would say epic fail. A simple rank system that would alow you to buy stuf after a predetermined amount of wins would draw many more people onto it. Just my 2 ct

1 ReplyThat's why there a regular trials and a competitive trials post option...

1 ReplySame bro we had a guy who was nice enough to play with me and a friend but spent the while time yelling down the mic at us for dying we are newbs at toO but tried hard in the end we gave up sad really cos i really enjoyed it and even if i mever see the light house games are supposed to be fun right??!!

3 RepliesYou should make a recruitment post for casuals doing trials ?
