Solution to make raids not obsolete.
I think Bungie should incorporate taken enemies replacing the year one, original species in the raids and replace drops with new legendary armor or weapons and offer a nightfall reward for completion.

It would be awesome to have a "taken" mode for raids. Sadly, I doubt they'll implement such things...
