Let me just say that i am actually somewhat glad everyone got ghorn. I don't know about everyone else, but I was very desperate to get the elusive ghorn. I got mine in april/may right before How dropped. I spent hours a day doing crota, ir yut, gorgons, atheon, hard crota, hard ir yut, hard atheon, nightfall, and engram collecting. Then I switched and did this on my second and third character... For a good 2 and a half months I did every single one of these activities WITHOUT SKIPPING 1. I still did do most of those before i had a lust for ghallarhorn, just not as religiously. Now I under stand that they're are a majority of players who get it for free without trying, that happens time to time. My point is that though I am glad everyone is getting, like 80 percent of the ghorn community, I have this painful itch whenever someone says "I earned it" or maybe "ive been try very hard to get it." I know that they're are a very few, maybe 5 or 10 percent of ghorn owners that had a powerful lust for the weapon and earned. They most likely did everything I did to earn it. But it gets really annoying when you know that all if that dedication is k iw down the toilet cause any low level with a couple of strange coins can buy it. Soon, nobody will think of it the same, it's obviously overpowered, everyone will remember that, but I mean nobody will remember the true struggle.

7 RepliesPeople act like the chances of getting the Gjallarhorn are lower than anything else. Not the case. Also people think because xur hasn't sold it since almost launch that their special because they've gotten it. You know what? Just because it took you 1,000 hours to get it doesn't mean that Xur shouldn't sell it. There are people who have spent even more hours trying to get it and haven't. Why shouldn't they be able to buy it from xur? There is also just as many people who got it with less than 100 hours as there is people that received it at 1,000+. You know what it really boils down too? This community is full of whiny little selfish assholes. Nobody that actually has life and knows anything about the real world is going to cry and whine about an NPC in a game selling a fun regardless of if they've already owned the gun. If it seriously bugs you that he sold the gun then you need time away from destiny.

I think lot of people will just have a decent life and play with moderation, not just advocates to farm 1 item for months. I had 3 ghorns before xûr, besides 1/3 of my friends didn't, i m happy for them.

Edited by Undying Serpent: 8/14/2015 11:38:33 PMI know the struggle of getting the Gjallarhorn. It took me over four months and 500+ hours before one dropped during a Nightfall. That being said, Xur selling the weapon does not bother me in any way. In fact, I'm excited at the prospect of some of my friends, who weren't as lucky as some of us, getting one.

Sigma probability states that for any probable event in a random setting (x) the likelihood of desired event (y) occurring is = 0 x infinity + (x)(y). Meaning no matter how much you did to influence the outcome (y) the actual outcome is equal to (x)(y) making any assertion of influenced outcome null. Meaning they had no influence on the outcome at all despite their rigorous attempt at adding more variables into the equation through repetitive efforts. The likelyhood of randomness cannot be influenced regardless of the number you throw in front of it, it will always be nullified. In other words your errand was that of a fool. There is no need to be sympathetic to an arbitrary causation as it was only a cause driven by the ignorance of faith.

RNG is not earning, it's wasting time

For all we know, it will be junk for anything in TTK, just a VOG/CROTA staple. Like taking the ol car for a ride on the weekends. That's why it's for sale.....it's no longer relevant!

Sorry from the wall of text Tl;Dr : get your lazy a$$ back up to the top and read, you might learn something
No interest in trying to read your idiotic wall of text. There is no justifiable reason to be upset about an item a vendor is selling in a game....for the second -blam!-ing time.

I don't understand how anyone could find anything negative about Xur selling Ghorn

1 ReplyI didn't know angry had 3 syllables!?!

3400 kills in 37 vog completions. I have 8700 in 35 completions. Get on my level

If you beat death singers on normal you don't get another drop doing hard.

There is literally no good reason to be angry over any exotic being sold. Get over yourselves, collective everyone who's angry over an exotic being sold.

I had a tree where I would grow my " -blam!-s to give ". It died due to drought. I no longer have any -blam!-s to give.

1 ReplyEdited by mcclean94: 8/14/2015 10:48:24 PMGhallerhorn was my very first exotic. I waited forever for the hawkmoon. If I got the hawkmoon a day before xur sold it, I'd still be happy. I still got it. There was -never- a deadline, a promise, anything. So how did I earn it? All I did was play the game, which was an award in itself. Too many of you forget that the game is what is important. Kilobytes of data are not nearly as important as the opportunity to play and too many of you take that for granted. Most of the -blam!-s crying about people getting it didn't even buy the game, let alone "earn" anything. I earned my money. I spent it on a game. I enjoyed said game. ANYONE who does should have that same opportunity. Even if there is a chance they'll get a gun.

2 RepliesIt's just kinda weird seeing someone with a grim score of 1,700 with gally and the rest of their gear is really bad.. But look there's no excuse now to why you can't blow through Poe bosses or nightfall bosses that have appropriate burns.. I really wonder if there is going to be a solar burn for next weeks nightfall..
-
Lol lmao chill folks it's a game
-
China called, they want their wall back.
-
Sorry man, RNG isn't really earning it. I'm a vanilla Gally owner(got it from hard aethon back in the day) and I didn't feel like I earned it at all.

Its a -blam!-ing rocket launcher

The struggle of finding raid teams is still real :( This is the only way I could get the Gjalla
-
I bought my first one the last time he sold out and have had 4 more drop. Also, it's getting a nerf. So who cares.
-
I bought 2 not really bothered about having them but bought them anyway.
