Xur selling Gjallarhorn. What are your thoughts??
So what are your thoughts on this? I personally think it's ok.

I think it's rediculous that people are complaining about such a small part of the game. And I would say that buying it from Xur is actually the closest thing to earning the gjallarhorn, not RNG. We do the weekly heroic to get 9 strange coins and we then use the coins to buy any exotics we don't have. There is nothing random about that process.

Been playing since before TDB, never got one. Im happy he's selling it for people like me, and i dont mind that newer players get the opportunity to snag it. Concerning the cry babies, i wish the forum showed age so we could see the correlation between butthurt and being 12.

I don't care I love my hawkmoon and my hardlight cost me 27 strange coins so more struggling than a Gjallarhorn which is 17 strange coins

Mixed feelings. I had a top 3 wish-list of Exotics: Red Death, Icebreaker and Gjallahorn. Despite being a day 1 player and having 3 characters @ 34,34 and 32 I never got a sniff of either. According to the attitude of some people on these forums I obviously didn't 'earn' them I've now ended up buying all 3 from Xur. Problem is, I haven't felt any sense of achievement just buying them from a vendor. The only thing I've 'earned' is the coins to pay for them. Gjallahorn was the last one. Am I going to level it up? Hell yeah! Still need to complete that level 35 PoE and this will certainly help. Will I bother to do any more raids or Nightfalls between now and TTK? Nope. No point, unless some of my friends are on and are a man short; but if there's too many for a fireteam I'll be the one sitting it out. No more need to grind... I suppose that's a good thing? And a quick footnote to all the Gjallahorn snobs who are gloating that we've only got it 4 weeks before its nerfed and no longer relevant: It's only the range of the Wolfpack rounds that's being reduced. At 365 it's still going to make a decent contribution to your progress in the Taken King in the same way that a level 300 Fatebringer is still a beast in hard mode Crota. If you take time to read the extensive forthcoming weapon patch notes you'll see why Gjallahorn was included: it's because of the disappointment Bungie felt when noticing n the lfg forums how many players trying to get on a Nighfall/Raid fireteam were being specifically denied inclusion because they didn't have a Gjally. I've experienced that snobbery myself, sadly from my own clanmates in PoE. It's your elitism - because you all got lucky when others didn't - that's brought on the nerf and it's availability from Xur. Thanks, I suppose...

Xur sells Ng the GHorn is like having sex for the first time. You're anxious before it happens, glad it's finally over, and realize while fun, it's not that great big of a deal.

No longer will two of my regular playlist friends have to hope and wonder if they will get one. I still always took them through raids and Skolas, but now, it will be easier for a couple weeks. No more farming VoG and CE after NF to try every possible exotic drop. Seriously, doing 6-8 night falls a week trying to help friends get one, and exotic checkpoints in raids, it tires me out. They've earned it just as much as I did, first one at 774 hours from a NF, second one from Hard Crota as the sword bearer, third from an Atheon Hard. Not all my friends have 1400+ hours in this game, they have kids and stuff that I don't have to worry about, but they've done everything in this game I have and deserve this weapon just as much as anyone else.

Show me one person who did not already have it that is upset it's being sold. IOW, if you truly want to RNG it, go for it... I'm buying mine and have played long enough that I should have already "earned" it.

I just would have preferred to see bungie tie it to a high drop rate for a part of some end game content.

Refreshing to see a guardian who isn't bitter that xur is selling it, makes no sense to me when the forums are constantly filled with people complaining that they want a galley and now everyone is complaining that he finally sold it (well just the people that already have it)
