Are there supposed to be two codes? 1 for the XP+ and one for the quest, or just one?

No. One code supplies you with the item and the mission

ok, it is just that in the redemption history, it only shows the focus light

That's because the quest won't be unlocked until TTK drops

Ok! my previous experience with the lore card codes where that it said they were there but could not be activated until destiny came out. So it seems they have changed the system
