Can you run relic and sword?
I've been having problems finding competent people to raid with. Seems like the good players left till ttk (hopefully you guys come back). Can you do sword and relic?
It's gotten so bad I'm willing to recruit one guardian to teach them the ins and outs of the game
Edit: 88%? Really? Where are all you guys when I'm trying to raid?
Also, if you don't know how to run either, ask and hopefully will be patient and teach you. I'm on 360
Edit 2: a lot of people say they know how, if you do, teach the new guardians. Also, if you're on 360 send me a friend request I'm always trying to raid. Not moving to xbone till Xmas

1 ReplyTemplar is easy, I solo portals - sometimes both, atheon a breeze. Oddly best with sword on my warlock. I always kill crota 1 swing sooner on my warlock than on my hunter.

The majority of the people on this thread are lying that they can when ever I look in the forums it's " need one more that can run relic/sword". And yes, I can and always run both on all three characters

I think by now a lot of people can actually run both after observing others so many times or trying it out themselves here and there. The reason i think 88% say they can but are not always visible or willing to try is because outside of clans nobody has the patience to let a noob sb or use the relic. Hell, i only learned to sb because my clan sat with me and wiped repeatedly till we all learned how to do it back when crota first dropped. Ive been in groups where people have been allowed 1 or 2 goes then kicked, and im like this guy needs to learn, lets have patience and teach people a new skill! To everyone who sherpas or has patience to learn other gamers new skills, respect!

I can do both, better at sword though, only yourself to rely on, and hate it when a hero decides to go the other side of the map then complains they didn't get cleansed so I leave relic unless it's with my clanmates :)

7 RepliesI'd be interested in being taught. If seen Atheon go down maybe twice simply because of having not enough time in one sitting and my clan now being mainly on the XBOne. Always willing to learn the ropes.

I learned how to relic early because I was well armored but under armed plus I didn't wanna deal with supplicants so I always ran relic. I learned to swordbearer and can 2 sword crota in 3 downs. Shits easy, people just aren't willing to learn. I also ran sword cause in the era of ghorn only I had a better option since no ghorn.

1 ReplyI can run sword on all 3 characters and relic. It just takes practice it's more enjoyable as a warlock or Titan everyone thinks you need a hunter for sword.

4 RepliesI can do both, but to greatly different abilities. I am a master with the sword, a real hero, but the relic still scares me. If someone in there doesn't pick it up, I'll happily grab it but it's not something I can do with skill. I put 'yes', but would've went for 'kinda' if there was one.

3 RepliesI'd love to see some people run the Relic on hard VoG with a full fireteam of 29's like we used to. We take hard VoG for granted. Crota was always easy so anyone should be able to run sword.

I can relic but I broke my rb trigger so can't sword or even blade dance until I get TTK now on my new Xbox one but I will be learning the sword ASAP

Chances are the poll is greatly unballanced. The title will draw players who can in amd only a few who can't might take a peek. Asding to that, despite the fact the poll is anonymous, people won't want to admit they can't do something desired in a raid team member. Personally and, if I do say so myself, I am a beast relic bearer. The only time I struggled after mastering the relic was back in the good ol' days when a minutaur wouldn't stay dead after you mashed him up or when the relic shield glitched and fell early and everyone had to bail too soon. The sword is something I only recently mastered but now that I can do it I enjoy it more. There is always that adrenaline filled moment before you strike at crota and call the "drop him", waiting for the Gjallarhorn rockets to fly over your head and weaken Crota that I love.
