Look, use what you're gonna use, right? If you're not cheating, what do I care? So let me preface the actual question by saying I'm neither complaining nor asking for a nerf, I'm just curious. So, without further ado...
Why do I keep seeing guardian after guardian after guardian using Fatebringer, Found Verdict, and Gally in dragon strikes, 28 POEs and weeklies? I mean, I'd say more than half the people I get matched with are using that same exact setup. And again, I'm not hating, I'm just curious. Because I get wanting to bring the best tools for the hardest content, but do level 33s and 34s really need that shit for the lowest level end-game content?

They are some of the best guns to use. I earned them. They are over powered. Why let them sit in the vault
-
I dont have em, but usually im just grinding for hopscotch pilgrim and would sneak through pretty much the whole strike to get it done fast....
-
1 ReplyYou have 1-34? Really?? TROLL
-
simple really.....its called time saving decisions....or efficiency
-
I like to run random gear like my Dragonsbreath that im trying to lvl
-
Because I don't want to double the time I take to do low level shit just to be cool. That's what crucible is for
-
Not surprised that half the comments are little kids calling the OP a dumbass and a scrub, y'all feel personally attacked when someone questions the use of certain guns around here. As for OP, it's just the best stuff in the game, and people are too stubborn to use anything else. These are the people that are threatening to quit because they're losing their legendaries once The Taken King comes out.
-
1 ReplyBc we like to get content done as fast as possible. They are not doing that stuff to have fun, they are grinding it out for the chance to get hopscotch or another weapon so the faster the increased chance of getting the drop they want. Use logic and quit trying to make a post you think will get a lot of comments so your ego can grow bigger scrub

I love going in with the Necro/sidearm/LMG while my strikemates have Fatebringer/Blackhammer/Gjallahorn. I love getting more kills though. The best is when they have that setup and run through everything as fast as possible.

Because we dont need to use crappy guns you find from engrams, we raid for ours... noob.
-
Fatebringer is an all around useful tool, it's in no way a crutch. Found verdict is just a full auto shotty, so there's nothing fantastical there either. Those aren't crutches, those are universally respected weapons in the community. What I consider a crutch is shit like final round snipers, Thorn, TLW, etc, broken shit that gives people an edge they really shouldn't be able to have. I don't see the issue.
-
So I can knock out repetitive nonsense in 10 or less minutes and get on with my day. (it's my favorite setup btw lol)
-
All you jealous kids say "crutch" If it's a crap weapon you can't play if it's an OP weapon it's a "crutch" BRW My load out changes depending on the map Play YOUR game and don't worry about MY Game! Especially while I'm using my CRUTCH weapons and smoke you in kills. Grow Up and worry about yourself.

My normal set up is Praedyth's Timepiece, Lord of Wolves, Hezen Vengeance. I'll alternate my heavy based on what mobs I encounter, I have two 365 Radegast Fury with arc and void burn. I just like pulse rifles and lord of wolves is fun fun fun. I tend to just run around and into enemies/groups of enemies with LoW and shred them. My favorite tactic is baiting the phalanx into trying to shield bash me and they meet their demise as they do.
-
First off why dont u get one of those 3 guns u listed then answer ur own question... or better yet why dont u actually complete a vog raid before u make dumb questions like this. Play the game more and u will understand
-
I run that set up on one character. On my other two I'll use whatever is on 'em. But my heavy is usually always gjallarhorn because I have three maxed out.
-
Cause if it's the best you use it why use somthing worse just cause you cab I will always use the best gun I have wet her I do 34 poetry or lvl 8 strikes
-
2 RepliesI love running lower level stuff with bad juju just for the boost to super charge. Lots of fun especially when your fireteam start chaining supers. Is fireteam one word or two ? Fireteam fire team
-
That's usually my load out. My reasoning is I'm just trying to get through whatever it is I'm doing as quick as possible.
-
To do them quickly and get it over with?
-
2 RepliesSo the guy who's never completed VoG is asking why any of us would use two of the best weapons in the game that come from VoG as well as Gally that is without question the best heavy in the game? Fatebringer = destroys mobs with one quarter to one half as many bullets, plus does arc damage as a primary, along with high impact and great perks. Found Verdict = one of the best shotguns in the game. I won't say it's the best, but it's up there. Gally = Wolfpack rounds. "Nuff said. That setup will demolish everything quickly, especially the lower level enemies. I ran the 32 weekly this morning and got over 200 kills while the next closest guy was just over 100 and the other guy had 44 kills. Yeah, why would I ever want to run a setup that kills everything so efficiently.....
-
i never see anyone using found verdict outside crucible anymore
-
What an idiotic question how dumb can you be?
-
haha TC has none of the weapons he's talking bout. me thinks he's jelly. he who can't raid.....hates instead.

Edited by Noctroglyph: 8/13/2015 5:22:42 PMMaybe, like me, everything is leveled up and they just don't bother changing, because it works for everything, and ammo is ammo. My current go to is Raegast's Fury, Hopscotch Pilgrim, and Whatever special weapon makes sense. More important question is "why does this matter to you?" :-) "Crutch" kinda implies disrespect, btw. Especially the way you are using it.
