Will we be able to delevel ourselves in TTK? I find it much more fun to play a strike 1-2 levels below the strike level. It sounds like we won't be able to do this anymore by swapping armor.
Edit: thx, I understand it now. I should still be able to swap armor and play with the lower light levels. It is different than the character level.

Technically you can with the Defense amount on your gear as Defense values are actually playing a role in the TTK.
-
No even if you drop your level down to 20 the level of that character will be the highest you've achieved on that character
-
Yes and no..... your character level won't go down but there will still be light levels on armor and certain areas will have a recommended light level so I guess you could wear armor with a lower light level.

You'll be the exact same level you are now when TTK drops. Bungie confirmed this, so if you're 34 you'll be 34.

10 RepliesEveryone from my understanding will be pushed back to level 20 at the release, but keep in mind that the leveling system is completely different now so its hard to compare it to doing current strikes 1 - 2 levels below at the moment.. and to unlock different areas lf the big ass ship you need to be a certain level

You're defense and stuff will still be affected by your armor. It won't be a level you're adjusting, it will just be the amount of light.
-
You will be able to wear lower Light armor, which will be effectively the same. But once you're 40, you'll always be 40.

No you won't be, once you hit Level 40 your Level 40 end of story!
