Now, this is not a hate post. I'm all for people who want to do their thing. Gay, lesbian, Bi, Transgender, etc etc do what you want.
But I find this particular term a little ridiculous.
EDIT: this term essentially means they can identify as male or female depending on the day. In short description.

Gender (the mental aspect created by society) is kind of a weird concept by itself. I mean, guys can enjoy things typically seen as feminine. Women can enjoy things typically seen as masculine. We're all masculine and feminine to a degree, so it's no surprise that some people waver between the two. I'm not gender fluid, but I'm not 100% masculine anyhow. I'm not very feminine either.

I can't really say. I like to read up on psychological things to a degree and I'm not too versed on suppossedly being "gender fluid." But, across the internet I'm starting to hear more and more terms for things. To the point where it's getting a little bit silly. You have all these people proclaiming this or that with titles to match. At some point, you just have to draw a line and keep things simple. But I keep my head an open book because I know that I myself come off as a little strange and I make a point to study myself and my own strange little workings. I can say one thing for sure. Most of those titles or lables for people, either start to get a little bunk, and unneccessarily complicated. A little bit like...stating the obvious in a flamboyant, messy way. However, for some of the simpler more standardized terms, they all have a psychological aspect to them. I believe I've met one person on these forums who may have stated that they were indeed gender fluid. But I gauge them differently. Maybe because of my own strange sense of self. Either way, it's nothing I work myself up over. And nor should people. Titles and names do not describe us, nor do they govern who we are. And, nor should we wave them around like they're a blunt object to cram down people's throats. They just provide a little bit of context to describe somebody. And I guess these days, you could describe people with a wealth of many colourful terms. I say let them, so long as they don't start weaponizing their title and start trying to cram it down everything like a plunger. Because there are some people, who get a little too wrapped up in their titles.

No. Sometimes you don't strongly identify with either gender.

5 RepliesI'm pretty sure it's a legit thing. I mean, if hermaphrodites exist that means there was an abnormality in the persons biochemistry or what have you. I don't see why the same thing isn't possible for a person to have abnormal hormones(or brains) making them feel one way or another. Not to put it in a bad way, but kind of like bipolar disorder. Except with gender.

8 RepliesOnce again, some ass hat calling something or someone stupid when they know very little about it to make themselves feel special. Look, it doesn't affect you, and saying you are not a biggot doesn't mean you aren't a biggot, especially you call a group of people dumb. I doubt you know someone who is "gender fluid" or if you do, they may not say it or think much of it. What harm has this term or these people done to warrant this?

i can kind of get it, like how one day its possible for someone to identify as male but then on another day identify as female. It probably is real but we've not got much psychological research into it so we got a bit of an issue there. I imagine it would be really difficult to be gender fluid.
-
Gender is fluid, if you're willing to undergo months of artificial hormone treatment, followed by potentially dangerous surgery that will leave you mutilated for life. Even then, on a basic genetic level, you're still the same gender you were born with.
