I remember seeing these symbols when i played way back but never got round to figuring out what they were. Sooooo, what are they and are they harder to attain than brigadier and general in halo 3? i seem to remember halo 2 being a lot more difficult than halo 3.

I personally like the 32, 34, and 37. A 47 would be nice, but ranks lie on thin ice at that level. It can take up to 5 wins to make up for 1 loss.

Listen to SJ. And getting to any of those ranks legit would make you probably one of the best halo 2 players ever. It was ridiculous to get past a 32 or so.

boring...lol

Wow, I want to be a 47 now... :)

No problem! Yes, I agree. The images for the upper ranks were rather 1337. I made one mistake though. The eclipsed sun is level 47 while the full sun is level 48. I had them reversed in my list.

Thanks mate that clears it up perfectly! I wish they kept them. it adds a bit more individuality to the ranks rather than having an eagle from 45-49!

They were (are) the upper level ranks in Halo 2 ranked matchmaking. If I remember correctly: 44 is a Crescent Moon 45 is a Half Moon 46 is a Full Moon 47 is a Sun 48 is an Eclipsed Sun 49 is a Comet 50 is a Halo Ring Please correct me if I am mistaken on any of these.
