Every time PoE has arc burn hive round with dismantle mines objective, my fireteam seems to struggle a lot. When the mines spawn, the other two members of my fireteam just rush to the mine and get demolished 80% of the time. Usually the second mine takes care of the rest. This happens over and over again with the same results and no one seems to figure out that they're doing something wrong.
I wonder if anyone has figured out that knights and wizards do arc damage. In other words they do shit ton of damage when arc burn is on. So why is this a problem? It is a problem because one hallowed wizard is enough to almost insta-kill you. So is there any good tactics to counter it other than rushing to a mine and get killed? -blam!-ing focus fire those extremely powerful adds with your OWN arc weapons and you still have plenty of time to take care of the mines.
Moral of the story: Don't be that retard who straight rushes for the mines and gets crushed. Instead spend like ten seconds to destroy the strongest arc adds and afterwards you have all time in the world to take care of the mines. Just saying.

Strongest player on right side, other 2 left. Right side hides behind cover, takes out thrall, when wizard reveals, hit it with solar rocket and swap to arc sniper and headshot her... Kill boomers quick too. Left side have one on ledge where mine spawns, other far left. Far left kills thrall, ledge hits wizard with solar rocket, far left team shoots it with arc... Then both go for mines and boomers... Clearing remaining adds. You just have to hit wizards hard and quick, they cover distance fast. Boomers you just need to work cover. Titan right side works best. Save bubble for just before wizards reveal.

Just use the spawn block glitch so that you run the mines w/o having to fight the enemies. I'm not normally a proponent of glitch exploitation, but the fact of the matter is Bungie screwed the pooch with POE and made some rounds stupid-hard to do legitimately in a decent amount of time (AND without checkpoints mind you), so we do what's necessary to get by in a decent amount of time. If Bungie doesn't like it, then they need to make an end-around POE so people can get Etheric light w/o having to set foot inside the sardine can arena with a bunch of bullet sponges.

Bladedancer. Easier. Defender with Helm Saint-14. Easier.

I did it solo on my titan when it was a lvl32 poe. No need to rush, poe is all about ads control

Edited by FAITH12: 8/12/2015 2:01:36 AMMy load out when this comes up: Fang of Ir yut, Light of the Abyss, and Ghorn. Use the fang and light of the abyss on all enemies with Ghorn just for hollowed Wizards. When Wizards spawn they are you number one priority. Stay calm and fire 2 Ghorns into them, dead. Hunters use blade dancer for invis, Warlocks use sunsinger for rez, and Titans use defender for bubble. Have two people near the back left and one person back right. Should be no problem after some practice.

Is it really so hard to realize that the Knight and the Wizard deal arc damage -_-
-
One person uses abyss defiant to Sun the wizard and the other two tee off on her. Get the wizards down then the knights

1 ReplyRemember when DeeJ and Broman couldn't get through this wave in the HoW reveal twitch? Hahahahahahaha God that must have been embarrassing.
"can we just get a key?" "No doesn't work like that"
There is on legit strat to the mine phase. Invisible hunter dismantles mines, titan bubble draws aggro, warlock takes out ads from close to the bubble.

2 RepliesInvis and Bubble. That's how

1 ReplyGo to youtube. Search for Destiny PoE arc burn cheese
-
P&T headshots to the wizards and knights, then hit up the mines. I think the thrall have arc mele too. No reason to cheese this section.
-
Sit on top of doorway on the right...
-
1 ReplyJust cheese it bro.

Some of the melees deal arc damage too. I wish they would introduce some armor with elemental shields.

Its harder than the round 5. Basically, you need either to focus down the targets or use those bubbles. I like to spread the team out, so that you can start dismantling as soon as they show up. If someone dies it can be tricky though.
-
Jump on top of the door on the right hand side where they spawn. It delays them spawning there while you dismantle after dismantling..jump off..be ready for a small rush of adds to come as soon as you do. Normally at least one wizard also.

Edited by NobodyJustBrad: 8/11/2015 3:47:17 PMYeah, people need to kill quicker and be calm about the objective. As soon as the knights and wizards spawn, wreck them. It's a breeze after that. Don't be afraid to pull out that Thunderlord!
-
2 RepliesStand on the far platform on the left side of the room before round 2/3 start. No enemies will spawn except the thrall from your right. One person can dismantle all 3 mines with no interruption just make sure they don't shoot anything. The two left on the platform can shoot the few thrall. Then step off the platform and the waves of enemies will come out and you can dispose of them without worrying about mines.
-
Use high impact arc weapons (I use fatebringer and LDR 5001) and Thunderlord. Tlord melts them

Edited by S1N1STER_S1X: 8/11/2015 2:33:55 PMI usually Just pop a bubble( wearing helm of saint of course) on the door that the wizards come out on and wait with shotgun ready. Have teammates do the same on the other side(if you have another Titan on team). If not have them blast her with rockets. After the wizards are dead its a cake walk.

2 RepliesIf you swipe the mine with your blink strike with escape artist on you'll turn invisible run to mine and just slash it
-
We stand above the two main doors to prevent spawns while the 3rd person runs the mines. Then we kill everything as they come out.
-
stand on the doors. one person can block both
-
Take the witches quickly and it will be a lot easier.
-
Or just be a hunter and go invisible. Makes life easy
