I always see hate for this game but I don't understand why people hated it so much. I have been playing since Halo 2 and personally I think Reach is the best in the series.

It's not.

1 ReplyI liked it. One of my favorite Halo games.
-
Because it m messed with the canon.
-
Edited by Potomo17: 8/16/2015 3:36:18 AMRuined canon for no good reason. Also poorly implemented armour abilities. Reach was when Halo stopped being a competitive game. Hopefully Halo 5 will bring it back to being competitive again.

6 RepliesIt isn't Halo 3, and people hate it when the new Halo game isn't Halo 3.

It was a great game, just disappointing to fans who wanted a game that was closer to the Halo competitive multiplayer formula and who didn't want their canoes broken.

3 RepliesBloom. What was a way to attempt and make people pace their shots instead served to assist spammers as bloom never really contributed to loss of aim in anything less then extreme ranges. Armor Abilities all served to ruin the flow of the game and make easy way outs to lessen the skill gap. Armor lock is a literal timeout. Vehicles were at their weakest, base weapons being able to take them out in as little as 2-3 clips, a tank not even being able to stand 4 shots from a sniper. The weapon sandbox was, although creative, for the most part useless. UNSC weapons over shadowed their covenant counter parts by a landslide. The campaign was less then stellar in both respects to pre-existing canon and story telling. The game never fleshes out the characters, as well as most being one sided cliches of pre existing military archetypes. All in all the only compliment I can give Reach are its custom games. On the competitive side Reach was awful, even compared to Halo 4.

2 RepliesEdited by About 7 fish: 8/15/2015 11:52:19 PMAwful maps, armor abilities which promoted avoiding and disengaging from firefights rather than enhancing them as equipment (mostly) did in Halo 3, slower and lower movement speed and jump height respectively, randomness added via bloom, game was all but abandoned by Bungie immediately following launch since it would be 343's problem in just a year (I hope you pick up on the sarcasm on "just a year", because I meant to lay it on pretty thick), many of the maps in matchmaking were just forge world meaning that they were a dull grey color uninteresting to look at (in addition to being shit, see first point), vehicles were nerfed so badly that they were barely even worth using, and a whole host of issues that I'm not sober enough to remember four and a half years after I gave up on Reach as a lost cause. -blam!- Reach.

2 RepliesI was a big fan of halo reach, I hope it's gets a remastered edition on Xbox one
-
Bandwagons. No one seems to think that it's probably a bandwagon
-
I enjoyed reach cause I liked the dark and gritty overtone of the game. Once again like halo 4 I didn't enjoy the mp. I feel like the people that downright hate it are the people who play online only and never touch anything else
-
5 RepliesDidn't you ask the same about Halo 4? Looks at profile, ahh I see...

Edited by Spoop: 8/15/2015 2:26:56 PMReach sure as hell was not perfect *glares at armour lock*, but it was fun as hell.
-
I think it's better than the original 3. You know why? It was fun. That's something 3 never really achieved, and the other two only got at certain points.
-
It's just like halo 4.
-
Edited by SilverPulse620: 8/15/2015 3:56:56 AMBut it isn't bad. It's good. One of the best, if not the best.
-
Loved the multiplayer, but the story was shallow, and made without original characters
-
Bloom Sprint -blam!-ing ARMOR LOCK Jetpack No skill ranks Horribly unbalanced sandbox Standard FF was a credit grind, not a fight for survival Unbearable co-op campaign lag No party viewing in theater Bad maps 3D printed vehicles Not saying Reach was totally bad. The custom modes were at their peak, and TU/ZB was a godsend.
-
Da best. Halo 4 got fooked up.
-
It's not

i loved halo reach. its the perfect bridge between 3 and 4 because you can play it classic without sprint and amour abilities, or you can play it with sprint and all of the new gadgets. Not to mention you could just download all of the classic halo 3 maps through the file browser

Loved Reach, the campaign was great and so was PVP!
-
It's not.

It's not bad I loved it. Some people just can't appreciate shit
