Think about the title, really hard..
Are we really becoming legend if we can't bring some of our legendary gear with us into the next great adventure?
Here's my solution:
I think we should be allowed to bring ONE of our favorite legendary guns from EACH WEAPON TYPE
So for example I could bring...
Scout rifle: VOC
sniper rifle: LDR 5001
Rocket launcher: the fear
Machine gun: the swarm
And so on...
Into year 2
This would allow us to hang on to our favorite guns and still make new gear very good and sought after.
Please leave your thoughts below, I'm open to criticism and alternative ways.
If you can't conduct yourself in a mature way, don't comment.
EDIT: I want new gear as much as anybody else, but my problem is that we are being forced to use new gear. Obviously I want to use new stuff but occasionally I want to be able to use some of my old stuff.

your exotics remain with you.. the legendaries will become obsolete.. I don't really have a problem with that provided you van earn enough new legendaries... the legendaries probably remain usable in normal crucible btw, since damage is "normalized" in there

A lot of people would bring fatebringer

2 RepliesYour current gear will be useful until you collect enough new gear to replace it. Which you've been doing all along, you didn't start automatically with raid weapons with burns, you replaced those kinetic weapons you used to get your fatebringer, your VoC etc. I understand that these are the weapons you trust and rely on, that won't change till you get new weapons that you trust. This won't happen automatically, or overnight but gradually. It should always be about where your going, not where you've been. I know it's frightening not knowing if the new gear will be as good as your current gear, but that's what's cool about having new experiences, the mystery of something better.

Legendary armor=defence=not die.

4 RepliesThe TTK won't automatically delete or lock your legendaries. Bring all the legendaries you want. You can still use them.
whiner
6 RepliesEdited by IIIIIIIIIIIII: 8/9/2015 4:01:40 PMThe real question is, Why do I have to become legend again if I already did it when the game was released. I did it again when TDB was released. Third time when the HoW was released. How many Fudging times do I have to become legend? Like make up your Grawd blam mind Bungie -.-
rant over
2 RepliesThe game is suppose to be about progression. I'm tired of using the same old weapons already. I'm ready for the next gjallarhorn type weapon.

1 ReplyI'm ready for it personally. I've used and used and used those weapons because nothing else works as well. If they take all weapons away and put out pea shooters then no one will play. They know this so to me they are making a statement that the new weapons are going to be better than the puds they have been releasing. You will gain new favorites. Also, you can still use the old weapons for year one content where you earned it.
-
2 RepliesI think it's lazy developing honestly. They can't imagine and create better weapons so they make our attack lower on the old good ones. Therefor forcing us to use the newer weapons, making us grind more for them, making us spend more time playing the game so they can show activist on how many people are spending 3 HOURS A DAY ON OUR WONDERFUL GAME!!! (While throwing money at the screen)

9 RepliesI don't get how people call this game repetitive and stale then turn and cry cause they can't use the same guns and gear year after year. Games change, settings change, guns change. You all wanted something new and fresh...bow you're getting it, stop whining.

1 ReplyThere will be new legendary armor and weapons and that's how we will become legend

Let it go, let it go

Just f uck off

No will make you use anything. How can you truly progress, if you can't leave year one weapons behind. I feel they tried that via Etheric Light, but the majority upgraded VoG gear and didn't really give HoW gear a chance, especially the different armor. I'm really glad we are leaving old weapons behind. When you think about it, there are roughly eight weapons we use between PVP and PVE.

3 Repliesthis is a natural process did everyone forget we couldn't bring our vanilla weapons into dark below

Just play TTK, you can still use your gear. But it will be useless. Just come to terms with the fact that the full year, or shorter, of grinding is just a secondary beta

2 RepliesI seriously doubt they'll do this, but I can understand the want for it. From Vanilla into TDB, so many people dismantled the original weapons, because they were "only 300" level attack. Then we realized the VoG weapons were better than CE weapons, and that really applied to almost all of the new weapons. The only one from TDB that I'll miss is Black Hammer. Then came HoW & we could, all of a sudden, ascend all of our old stuff. HoW weapons are almost all garbage compared to the old stuff, but with HoW, came the bonus of not everyone looking the same... Based on the previous 2 DLCs, I have a very hard time believing that TTK weapons will be "better"... Hell for that matter, I have a hard time believing they'll even be "decent"...

2 RepliesYou can bring your guns with you. You can use them as long as you want. But the new ones do more damage. Get over it.
