Destiny disc is the only game my Xbox one won't read
Having trouble loading the disc. Every other game works. It doesn't read for some reason. Please help

My disc will read, however, when i start to install it, it will install for 5 mjnutes then stop installing. I wonder if destiny wont install because of the new Destiny 2. I uninstalled destiny because it took up too much space, and have been playing destiny 2. Now, i want tonplay the original, but it wont install

I know this is like a really old topic. However - and I just want to throw this out there - try putting your console [b]horizontal[/b]. I had the same error just now, Xbox wouldn't read the disc as long as it was standing up. After it went horizontal it worked. That was in my case anyway and the Xbox did not respond at all. No error code no nothing. So if you are experiencing this and your Xbox One is standing up straight try this out. Hope this will help at least some people who keep stumbling upon this problem.

Fixed it by holding logo button on cosole for 10 secs then restsrting by putting disc in.

I've got everything this week for my son including the disk and it will not install and or read the disk. He had the trail version at first loved it so he asked for the full game I read a few of these forums and seen bungie tell someone if the taken king was purchased it came with the base game. Not true! So there I was spending more money no point in buying the collectors edition since I have everything else.

I think maybe Microsoft should just put it out as one of the monthly free games. Problem solved.

I have the same problem. I have tried re-installing and everything. But my disc works on other xbox's so I dont know whats wrong

I quit playing destiny but with new content about to be released I started playing again. I have uninstalled, hard reset, reinstalled and still will not read the disk also had to get rid of trial mode made that mistake trying to gain access to the game. I've even went and bought another copy same problem had a buddy bring over his copy and would not read it either. I can eventually get the disk to read but it is really random and sometimes it will read first try but mainly it will take several tries and alot of frustration. I do not have to do this with any other game I own but Destiny. I am reinstalling game from cloud once again since I cannot get the disk to read but I do not see this resolving the issue any help would be appreciated. Console is Xbox One.

4 RepliesTry re-installing it I've had this issue with titan fall go into settings I think data and somewhere it'll re-download everything but you won't loose any data, that's all in the cloud
