No, and I played MC: Halo1 just recently, his mobility was crap, guns were inaccurate (except that magnum) , and Guardians have overall better damage output and abilities.

I played all the main serie, including reach and stuff, MC turns into Chuck Norris latter, but handling him was underwhelming until Reach. Bunny Hopping to avoid being headshoted was pathetic, but the best option.

If I'd cared that muc about lore, I wouldn't have played any of the 2 games, both are shit when it comes to story and lore.

I ment book based. Read the books, and you'll understand why people pick master chief over a Guardian, even if it is year 1 chief.
