So it seems that these boots are on every other Hunter's must-have list, but why?
Is it a matter of exotic collecting, or is that third (or fourth) jump more beneficial than almost all of the other exotic perks?
EDIT: 6x damage Golden Gun shot, 4 Golden Gun shots, being able to turn invisible in seconds at any time and getting bonus backstabbing damage, creating more orbs/reviving teammates faster, spawning with a grenade and having the Arcbolt spread farther, less Super used in Bladedancing and health recovery when picking up orbs…
OR an extra jump. =/
EDIT 2: Xûr is selling them this week…you're welcome. =)
FINAL EDIT: Thanks to you guys I have seen the light (no pun intended) and know their value. Like all the other gear in this game the perks and usefulness are always situational. THANK YOU!

4 jumps :)

1 ReplyA hunter cares about more than exotic perks. It's the IDEA, the fashion statement, the need to go where you shouldn't.
-
1 ReplyIt is clear you're not a Hunter. A Hunter knows.

Because the poe helm chest and gloves are good, but the boots suck PoE chest: Fallen bonus is a must for Skolas, as it gives you armor PoE helm: Fallen bonus is another must for Skolas as it gives you recovery (and super regen) PoE gloves: Fallen critical bonus is huge as you make orbs for your teammates with critical kills PoE boots: bonus to agility is so what. So boom, bones of Eao

They saved my ass is 35 PoE like an hour ago, run better control and mida and was able to jump while invisible from mine to mine, plus saved me from a couple skolas smashes, only the first time i used them to.
-
23 RepliesI'm sorry I can't hear you over my 34. Don't complain about something like that when you're not maxed.
-
they look cool
-
2 RepliesI just like prancing around, seeing my cape flap in the wind, it's just so fabulous. All the other exotics are designed to just hurt people and that makes me sad :(
-
POE, full stealth hunter. That's the one time I really like it. It grants added mobility without sacrificing stealth. (assuming you don't have POE boots for that room of course). This is especially beneficial in the Fallen zone due to its size. With increased control on your jump, you get a decent boost of speed on each jump and excellent horizontal movement. Increased Height on your jump means you have enough vertical reach to reach the highest ledges from even the lowest points. Like the left side balcony at Skolas. I don't like Don't Touch Me gloves because they require me to take additional damage for the stealth effect and additionally lightswitch has been a pretty common modifier on Skolas as of late. Khepris Sting makes me sacrifice a massive amount of Int/Disc meaning I get less supers and less grenades. If it wasn't a Strength stat armor, I'd use it very often honestly. And Third Man is pretty meh in POE

It's fun. To me hunter jump is actually the only one that's fun, so having an extra jump is great.
-
I used to run crota with a bunch of friends who had titans and they always talked shit about having the best jump in the game. Hence my want of said exotic.....Suck it now Tina you fat lard.....
-
There fun, that's basically it.
-
I wanted them bc they were the only hunter exotic that i was missing. Also being able to do quad jump or trip high jump is fun
-
Jumping the bridge on crota can now be done with eyes closed.
-
Quadruple jump master class. What more needs to be said?
-
you can have any of those other exotic armor pieces you mentioned equipped, arrive at a place where a quad jump would be beneficial, switch armor pieces, perform the jump and switch back once across or on top of whatever it was you wanted to jump over or onto. you get that, right?
-
Optic Flame Sword uses it. Go watch his stream and see how he transverses the maps. It's ridiculous..
-
I say it's too op. Bungie needs to nerf it.
I say they should give them only one jump instead so it can be equal
-
Depends on the play style I guess. Never hurts to have another jump for evasiveness and such. They look cool too.
-
1 ReplyI want them as I don't have them yet, and now I do, thanks Xur! Kinda makes up fir getting 12 coins from the Nightfall...
-
3 RepliesEdited by CAMARO PDX: 8/7/2015 1:48:49 PMExotic collecting. I now own every exotic on Xbox.
-
They are fun to use and look cool? I am using dance machines cause look cool and I don't really run an exotic armor piece outside of Alpha Lupi in situations with lots of death.
-
1 ReplyYou think it's not that cool. Till you're flying across maps like a lemur. They are bad ass as all hell.
-
You can really go the distance. No pun intended. And I use them all the time! It's finally nice to be able to out jump titans and warlocks. Example. When patrolling cosmodrome in skywatch you can jump from the ground to the top of the building(like you're moving through the omnigul mission).
-
I'm excited to use them for exploration and things like that, Hunters have some mobility issues that make it harder for them to get to places, the extra jump is gonna help me screw around and get to hard to reach places. I don't intend to use them for any competitive activities. I think it's fine that there are exotics like that, Bad Juju is kinda that way for me too, I use it for soloing so I never have to reload and get to super all the time but I don't use it in serious game modes.
-
They're not very useful, but they look cool and are fun. That's about it.
