People are taking away from this that they will be whatever level they currently are and disregarding the part where DeeJ says that your light will now be a combination of your attack and defense ratings and that missions will have a recommended light level. To me this sounds like it is a new paint job over the same system. You can be level 40 and not have a high enough rating to complete some content and so you will still have to grind for gear that gets you close enough to the recommended light.
