We're going to learn that good and evil are relative, and that both are meaningless compared to the need to survive. There is no actual good or evil, only two ancient entities struggling to dominate all life. We were used as a proxy army for the Traveler's final stand, and now our fate is tied to the dying sphere. So question your allegiance if you must, but this is still a fight for survival, and if we don't win we will surely lose.

 • There are three entities........One guardian in the grimour cards speculates about three queens. One good, one evil and one that is other. He was using a metaphor. Basically the warring sides represent the armies of these powers. We know the hive and oryx effectively represent evil (in our eyes anyway). We know humanities guardians represent good , though a grimour about the black garden paints the exact opposite for guardians who it refers to as dead things made for war. So who or what is the third force. Assuming it's the neutral force then it would appear to be represented by the 9.

 • Think you missed the point of that grimoire card. The queens are a metaphor, they don't actually have physical bodies. The entire card attempts to explain the nature of the unspoken law, and the end explains how the queen of the country comprised of queens of law, order, and an army (The Traveller) has very little hope fighting the queen of the country comprised of only queens with armies (The Darkness). The queens of the third (and fourth and fifth and so on) country went extinct because that is the nature of the universe. Simply put, Destiny is the final battle for dominance over all life between the two remaining "countries" or "queens."

 •
One good, one evil and one that is other. He was using a metaphor.
This is a quote from my post above yours. No this isn't the final battle for dominance otherwise why would the 9 exist. They are not in our fight at all and yet don't fear either the traveller or the darkness. I think it is you that has misread the cards.

 • So you think we're going to force the Darkness into extinction, and then do the same to the Nine? The Nine have helped us countless times when they could have just slaughtered the Traveler and humanity and had only one other queen to face. There's no way that the Nine survived long enough to fight their way across space and even become a queen if they are too stupid to take the coup de grace when it shows up on their doorstep. So no, I do not believe the Nine to be one of these entities. Powerful for sure, but not ruthless enough to be one of three remaining queens in the universe.

 • I don't know anything about the lore but when you buy heavy ammo from Xur its like he's trying to get you to question everything even the nine. Which leads me to believe he's an agent trying to get his mission across to the traveller
