I've read it, they still don't give you any information as to what they can do other than open doors.

They unlocked a hive ritual door that was thought to be unbreakable, they generate your radar, they can scan observe and deduce what life forms are doing, and only can be killed by creatures of the darkness. They're part deity, they will always be better than halo AI's
