Everyone knows you don't need a Gjallarhorn to kill Skolas. That doesn't mean that other people will run it with you if you don't have one though or that they wont kick you.
Bungie has admitted both that the Gjallarhorn has stratified the community and that giving someone 12 universal remotes instead of one Gjallarhorn creates a poor user experience.
So why make Skolas part of the Triumph emblem year one completion?

Hey, here's an idea: make your own group.
-
1 Replygo to the recruitment forum and ask for help. There are a lot of friendly guardians who help other people out.
-
If you're on ps3 I'll help killed him 13 times on all characters and soloed him when solar burn was a thing! :-)

Gjallarhorn isnt super helpful when modifier is small arms... with damage reduction and the small arms mod, my ghorn does less a clip of primary. Not sure what to use as primary for max damage in small arms skolas...maybe NLB would work?

Or make it fun

Edited by tunafishing69: 8/5/2015 10:09:59 PMYou bum are so bad, first. You cried about lvl35 burns and now you still can't kill him. U ruin the game but cry harder your voice being heard clear and loud. Wahhhh wahhhhhhhhh.
-
Cause its part of Year one. its really self-explanatory
-
He is a triumph because he is the hardest thing they have thrown at us, which is funny because he isnt even hard. If you are on xbox1 I'll help you man.
-
Just don't bother with the emblem. It sucks anyway. I for one am proud of not attempting to kill him. He can live forever IMO as his rewards are not worth it.
-
Lmao I beat skolas with only 1 person having gally. I've also been on lfg and have never had a problem finding a group w/o gally requirements
-
Its a triumph. If you want you can make a post recruiting people and allow them in even if they don't have a gjallahorn.
-
Find a team that dont have ghorns. Problem solved
-
this post killed a few of my brain cells
-
He is beatable without ghorn. And he is a primary endgame boss/challenge from year 1. Your request to remove his requirement is unreasonable

4 RepliesAs a gamer why would anyone want anything tho become easier

4 RepliesI'm gonna be constructive. If your on XB1 add me. If you have another friend(I might have friends on and might not), we can try. After you add, me send me a message and we will try to setup a time. Whole thing should be about 3 hours. My requirements are 365 weapons that you are good with, some skill, and a little patience. I did it on my daughter character with a 365 FB, a 331 ARC shotty, and a 365 Truth.

1 ReplyBump, also it should only take 5 non consecutive wins to get to light house i havent gone flawless yet and its killing me
-
He's the main boss of the game, he needs to be hard and also why do people say its hard!? I mean its like a weekly activity, how do you not complete t? I beat it every week so far and it doesnt seem hard.
-
Maybe because he's one of the main bosses. It's like saying me and my friends can't figure out how to kill crota so if you could remove it from the triumph emblem so we can show people were veteran guardians that would be nice.
-
You on One or 360?

3 Repliesjust eat some -blam!-toes

3 RepliesI have cleared skolas over 30 times. Ghorn is not needed to do it. If you were on ps4 I would help you through it, but I'm sure there's plenty of people on xb1 who would too...

7 RepliesYou've beaten Crota 30 times and Atheon 15 times. Which means you have at least 2 friends who play destiny on your friends list. Get together, buy some Doritos and Mountain Dew, put your big boy pants on and do it. If you can't do it well, that's why you're getting kicked. No one is going to boot a good player just because he doesn't have the stupid rocket launcher. If you're running around kicking ass in there and don't use the Ghorn, you're just proving why you're a better player and you should be able to complete it. I kinda wish I burned my money on an Xbox so that I could prove this to you.
