It obviously happened. The fact that it happened is what bothers me. Who the hell thought that a year long exclusivity period was a good idea. When I heard about it I got more pissed off at Sony than bungie. It means that Sony paid obscene amounts of cash to keep content out of a game that already lacked a lot of content.
I realize that Microsoft has been pulling bullshit along these lines for years now, but atleast those exclusivity periods were for a month at max(I could be wrong but I never heard about a year long exclusive).

A month doesn't make the average person pick one console over another. For what Sony paid they obviously needed something big to make it worth their while. The money to pay for development didn't fall from the sky. It cost a lot and Sony paid a lot in. If anything Sony players can feel slighted that their platform paid for content to be developed for Microsoft after they turned down paying Bungie anything like the original contract had them doing.

A month when rubbed in your face every time a DLC dropped made it worse every year. Honestly, all the complaining makes me want to delay it longer. Give spoiled Xbox a good long time out. I just sat back and played till I got my content. Xbox players keep whining. If you know it's coming why complain? Also why whine about how it will be different? That means you don't have to watch it decay in your hands.

If you're still talking about cod's month long exclusivity and its community of bratty 12 year olds then of course you're gonna get petulant "I'm better than you because I'm on Xbox" bullshit. I do think that the timed exclusivity is all bullshit and should stop.

I'm sorry but "bratty 12 year olds" seems to describe a large portion of the Xbox players that make these posts. It is not bad business, it's just business. Do you get mad when you lose an auction? You and the winner both had a shot at the item but he paid more than you so it was given to him.

It's upsetting because it's mostly beyond our control. We aren't the actual ones bidding on the auction. If it were completely in our control then most people would probably having an easier time accepting it. But as you say, a large percentage of the people on the forums are bratty petulant kids who don't understand jack shit, and who only know that they've been shorted in some way and want to bitch about it.

Ah but the auction was up to Microsoft and Sony. Guess who won
