Is there a point grinding anymore?
Is there any point running anything until the ttk comes out there are a few legendarys I would still like to get like the foil but if I can't bring it with me what's the point

Just doing your exotic change runs i guess. Looking forward to the changed game but work have liked to keep a set of gear at least from my conquests lol

1 ReplyAnd then in year 3, TTK stuff will be obsolete, so what's the point in grinding that either? Same with yeah 4 and so on and so on... By that viewpoint, just wait til the Destiny Year 10 super deluxe collectors edition that includes the entire franchise. Or ya know, if you like the game and want to use the Foil eventually, or whatever else, you keep playing trying to get it anyway and have fun.

2 RepliesNo there is not. I will not be firing up Destiny until I get TTK. Maybe if my wife wants to play Clash, then maybe yes. but other than that? Hello FF type 0 hd, hello Dead or Alive 5. Once MGS5 drops i will be all over that anyway.

6 RepliesNo one said you can't take anything with you. Your not going to log in on Sept 15 and find your vault wiped clean. Your guns from the first raid just aren't going to be the best any more.

I think if raid weapons can not be ascended, and it sure looks like that's a guaranteed thing, then no. If you are somehow still playing pve then i would take a break til 9/15. PvP guys? yes, they can grind i guess. The weapon damage is leveled in normal pvp so maybe that rare pulse rifle IS worth the grind. Idk. not my thing I understand why they must fall back on this decision to make EVERY yr 1 item obsolete. If they didn't it would be just like a bigger HoW dlc; people would not play nearly as much. This is double edged cause without incentive for all the new players no one will do VoG,CE, PoE, hell, even trials. That's a bit confounding and therein lies your only hope of ascending raid weapons. So for you all that are continuing on with TTK, while it looks AMAZING in every way, i sure hope they rethink the raid weapon ascension. Even re grinding for new max damage raid weapons would make people spend at least 150 hours just doing that alone. Wait n see.

Im done till ttk i have all raid armour included trials and all raid weapons most at 365, but with the news none of it will be too relevant...i wont grind for anymore "perfect rolls or to get the last few light i need to ascend some gear. Now im not upset over the old guns not being able to carry over,im kind of excited to get attached to new weapons but im overall indifferent since at least all the exotics will still be relevant. I say bring it on!!! But in not gonna delete my old gear just yet lmao

Edited by Swiftlock: 8/5/2015 4:03:11 AMLegacy legendaries will still be useful in regular PvP. Etheric Light might have a different use, a-la the Commendations. The PoE exotics will be nice souvenirs. There will always be a use for motes/marks/weapon parts at the launch of a new expansion.
