Bungie has screwed us all. The year one gear is done in a month.

3 RepliesYep no reason at all and I guess getting to rank 5 in IB for that Etheric Light was a waste of time as well. Then again so was playing year 1 of Destiny and so will year 2,if year 1 is any example of what to expect. Grind, grind, grind with a brand new set of nerf weapons.

1 ReplyNo more reason to ever play this game ever again. If they screw their players that bad they don't deserve to have a fanbase. If they don't change this decision I and millions of others will be done for good. Destiny won't last 2 months let alone 10 years!
-
Kinda contradicts their entire 'triumph' system. Congratulations, you unlocked this. Unfortunately, you can't use it anymore.

Edited by Arclight545: 8/4/2015 11:38:20 PMYeah they need to justify the price they are charging. So ascending year one weapons would negate the garbage, reskinned weapons they are sh!tting out with TTK.

2 RepliesCosmo says wait for more info and DONT DISMANTLE YOUR WEAPONS! Hmmm.... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CLlViC5UcAI76G3.png https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/144087283/0/0

9 RepliesIf we keep the current weapons, we'll have the same situation we did with Crota's End and Prison of Elders. The guns are definitely good, there's no question about that. However they are overshadowed by Vault of Glass gear, like Fatebringer. If this keeps happening, what's the point of making new guns if they are always beaten out by the older weapons. You also can't just make the new ones better where you get what is called "power creep". For those who don't know, this happens when the developer keeps making more and more powerful weapons. It gets to a point where the weapons are so powerful that pvp times to kill are faster than The Last Word and older missions will become obsolete and too easy on an exponential trend.

It's a wipe....

5 RepliesOld raids are confirmed to be getting reworks. It's okay
-
I wonder if that rework will reuse old "year one" gear and treat it as new.... otherwise they'd be wasting a lot of armor models.
-
The point is to stop doing them when the Dlc is over
-
Or even play period. I had been grinding for hopscotch lately. Guess I can keep them for regular crucible.
-
12 RepliesYour exotics will continue on.
-
Yep, they are wrecking it.
-
1 ReplyWhy would we get new stuff in an rpg? That seems absurd
-
or vog or crota

The contract explains it all. This game is already DONE and is contracted to be sold back in the form of LARGE GAME, DLCs and COMETS until the contract expires in 2020. http://documents.latimes.com/bungie-activision-contract/

2 RepliesEdited by CannyJack: 8/4/2015 6:20:41 PMShit, there hasn't been a reason to do PoE since...ever. As for Trials, it's a shame the Messenger will be behind the curve for endgame PvP, but realistically, I wasn't ever gettin' one anyway. :P As for the gear, well...that's the way it goes. I see a lot of posts about how it was all for nothing, but I disagree -- it was all for gear that I got to use during year 1 of the game. And I had a lot of fun with that stuff.
-
4 RepliesNo reason to do VoG or Crota either
-
3 RepliesI only see doing PoE for the last elder cypher for that exotic sidearm. Otherwise, I completely agree.
-
...and I will enjoy using it until the next batch arrives.
