Can you answer this question for me? Exactly how much will the 10% damage decrease on shotguns affect them. I wanna know how bad my baby (Invective) and my soon to be Lord of Wolves will get dethroned. Thanks!
Edit: Thanks for the feedback!

Let me get back to you in 6 months

Approximately 10%?

Okay. I noticed a bunch can or sarcastic answers to your post. Here's the real unabridged truth: Current vs. Patched 100 vs. 90 500 vs. 450 1000 vs. 900 5000 vs. 4500 Go shoot something. Find out where you currently are in the provided scale in the left hand column. Then you will know where you will be in the right hand column once the patch drops. Good luck out there. You're going to need it if you keep using your shotguns. :-)

I doubt you'll notice much it will still 1 bang most stuff
-
It will decrease damage by exactly 10%
-
I wonder if it is 10% of the 100% damage boost or of the 200% damage from launch?
-
If your shotgun does 2,500 damage then after the nerf it will hit for 2,250. So, if it takes 5,000 damage to kill a captain, you will have to shoot it 3x instead of 2x.
-
Well considering that in pve, shotguns are doing more than double the damage they did at launch (their damage was doubled in a weapon overhaul patch and the rise of damage cap from 300 to 365.) I'm not worried about losing 10% of that.
-
How much damage it does now, but 1/10 of the proportion is now gone.
-
I don't know the damage values for Invective and Lord of Wolves but I can estimate that you will have to be super close range to one hit anybody anymore. Least of all with the impact of Invective. Lord of Wolves will always be a bit better because even with the damage decrease it shoots like a five shot per burst pulse rifle. There for it will likely have a much greater effective range than a shotgun with typical shot package since they are nerfing that as well.

Well, it will do 10% less damage. Seeing as how every situation, with different ranges, enemies, levels, and pellet spreads, there is no "this is exactly how it will be" answer. Just think of it like the original shotguns got a 80% buff instead of a 100% buff.
