Not hours for one etheric light, but an hour or two for what I wanted I guess. I was farming glimmer last night for a little over 600 kills just to get the Spear, Timur's Lash, the helmet for my Titan, and 2 more gold spiral shaders for my other characters. And now I'm broke again. I didn't even buy the Etheric Lights (I don't need them though).
Where as with Trials, everything is a couple hundred glimmer.

Yeah, but like I said, Trials cost hardly anything for those vendor items and takes a lot less time. Plus what you get is better as well. So there's no reason for the IB stuff to be so pricy. It's not even 365 attack or 42 light gear.

That's because Trials is broken. Bungie hands out rewards with an eyedropper in every other part of the game, while handing them out with both hands for ToO.

I think 35 PoE should give you at least a Nightfall's chance at exotics and the elemental primaries definitely need a drop rate buff.

The problem with the level 35 Arena is that it is as difficult as any of the hard mode raids....and the Skolas fight is harder than any of the hard mode boss fights.....but you then get rewarded as if you were doing the strike playlist. Which is why, naturally, people are angry. Last night I did the hard Crota fight. It took less than an hour...despite having two relatively new players. I got two pieces of raid armor, and two elemental primary weapons (Oversoul and Fang) plus upgrade mats. Last time I did the level 35 Arena....despite having a very good team....it took 2.5 hours. I got an Etheric Light, a PoEs HMG (Judgement's Chance), a ship, strange coins, and a couple of Queen's weapons from the big chest. [i] Especially with the ability to "ascend" gear.....why would I choose to play the level 35 arena, when I can simply farm the raids, get better drops....and then ascend that gear with etheric light can obtain from much easier content??[/i]

Edited by Sixclicks: 8/4/2015 2:02:41 PMYep, that's why I don't really care for PoE or much else besides my weekly Nightfalls. Trials gives you way better rewards than anything else in the game, they hardly cost anything to buy, and it doesn't take very long to go flawless with a decent team.
