  • Hi Del, Your connection speed is close to the minimum for fluid online game play. Based on no other device using the network at the same time. Unfortunately your ISPs ping rate is very poor which will lead to lag, disconnects and matchmaking issues. Destiny like some other games uses a P2P network to join players together without a host. This type of network relies heavily on every players connection to be relatively the same for damage and hits to be counted. What this means is if player 1 enters a game with the best connection, player 2 enters the game with an average connection, and player 3 enters the game with a poor connection the network pulls an average and sets every player to median connection. To help with game play make sure your console is the only device on the network when you're playing. It may not be practical but it can help until your ISP improves. Hope this helps.

Basically it's awful.. Really awful. I have 30 down and 5 up. And even for two people it's not perfect.

  • Sky non fibre max speeds are rubbish, there max is only about 17mb hence why it's usually free with a TV and phone package.

    • This HAS to be a joke. You shouldn't be able to connect with those speeds...

      • Okay, your internet speed is garbage, your going to need a minimum of 15mbps download speed to run destiny with no disconnects, I suggest contacting your ISP and upgrading or have someone come out and fix it.

That Internet speed is quite low. I would advice bringing this issue to your ISP ( Internet service provider.) a quick phone call will do and they will take it from their. It could anything e.g - problem with router and wiring - Internet problems in your area - problems with your ISP's servers You should also be aware of how many people are using your Internet as they could be using up bandwidth You should also find out what the maximum speed of your package are. If the average is a lot higher than those speed then their is something majorly wrong I personally had this problem, I was getting speeds of 3mb and 100kb on a 100mb package. I rang my ISP and it was fixed So my best advice is contact your ISP.
